I disapprove of selfish nationalism, but also of secular people who thought they could live forever off Christian universalism. They are finding out that in the long run secularization always brings back the idolatry of blood and soil.

I like the Nordics saying stuff apparently like it is.
Mette Frederiksen Denmark's Prime Minister has declined the offers from Finland and Norway
don’t know what the two countries think you can achieve when Europe that when others have gone solo and, have travelled to Moscow, that it is important that we Europeans go together," she said.”
Mette Frederiksen (S) has told Finland's President, Alexander Stubb, and Norway's Prime Minister, Jonas Gahr Støre, that she disagrees with their “going it alone.
I don’t know what the two countries think you can achieve with this. We have previously also stressed in clear reports from the rest of Europe that when others have gone solo and, for example, have travelled to Moscow, that it is important that we Europeans go together," she said.”

It's a major black mark on the Catholic Church that we've allowed Fernando III of Castile and Leon (1199-1252) to be almost forgotten. He's one of the greatest men ever to pick up a sword—and a canonized saint.
Fernando never lost a battle. He took back more territory from the Moors than any other Spanish king during the Reconquista: Cazorla, Úbeda, Córdoba, Niebla, Huelva, Écija, Lucena, Oriheula, Murcia, Arjona, Mula, Lorca, Cartesian, Jaén, Alicante, and then Sevilla. Along the way he reclaimed the Bells of Santiago de Compostela taken by al-Mansur a couple centuries before. In battle he always took the lead, declaring he'd never expose his vassals to more danger than he exposed himself.
By the end of his campaigning only Granada remained, and they were paying tribute to Fernando. El Santo planned an expedition to North Africa to finish the job completely, but died before he could launch it.
And, like I said, he is a saint, known during his lifetime, as El Santo. Fernando often worried his men with his habit of keeping all-night prayer vigils before a battle. His efforts liberated countless Christians from Moorish and rescued souls from apostasy.
On top of all this, he was a great lawgiver, patriarch, and friend—really the complete man, not the kind you allow to be forgotten.

"This month, the EU has adopted the largest sanctions listings against Russia since the war started, and more are in the works."
?
I met with the defence ministers of France, Germany, Italy, Poland and the United Kingdom in Paris today for talks on support for Ukraine, European defence and the conflicts in the Middle East.
There is a new diplomatic push for peace in Ukraine, but Putin's actions tell a different story.
In recent days, Russia has again launched heavy attacks on Kyiv and sunk civilian ships in the Black Sea.
There is little hope for imminent peace in Ukraine. Our task is to help Ukraine withstand the attacks and increase the costs for Russia.
This month, the EU has adopted the largest sanctions listings against Russia since the war started, and more are in the works.
