Iโm not offended when someone claims that I am not a Christian, because their opinion does not matter to me. I know who I am, I know Godโs plan, and Iโll follow HIM in faith ๐ค

Here's my talk:
-------------------
Families can be together forever 10/25/26
In 1993, my mother gave birth to a daughter who spent 8 months in the NICU. She fought for every breath, instinctively knowing how precious every moment is, until eventually, her lungs could not continue to fulfill their duty to her growing body. At the age of 16, with me in her womb, and with very little support, my mother had to make the decision to let her first child die. They turned off her oxygen and the Lord took her home.
Two months later, My paternal great grandmother, who was integral to our family and much beloved, past beyond the veil just 12 hours before I was born.
I entered the world at a time of intense turmoil, a sort of light in the dark, I suppose. As such, death and loss was familiar to me at an early age. It left me with many questions.
I frequently considered the fate of these souls that passed before me. Would I ever meet them? Is it true that infants who aren't baptized go to Hell? How could that be? I never felt truly satisfied with the answers I received until learning about our heavenly fathers plan of happiness and the joy of eternal families.
Two of the most spectacular moments for the journey of our eternal spirit is that of birth and death. The moment in which we enter this worldโspirit to bodyโand leave it.
The next greatest moment is the joining of two souls in the new and everlasting covenantโthe sealing ordinanceโperformed by one with authority in the House of the Lord. A gift given by our Eternal Father to His children, that we may have hope in this promiseโa Plan of Happinessโthat families may be together forever on both sides of the veil.
Moses 1:39 states โFor behold, this is my work and my gloryโto bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man.โ
We are our Fathers Joy.
Before we were born, we lived in families with our Heavenly Parents as spirit children. Because our Heavenly Father loves us, He has instituted a plan that enables us to progress and become like Him through the power of the Atonement of Jesus Christ, and the making and keeping of sacred covenants. A plan that would allow us to open the doors to exhalation, to be with our families foreverโ progressing, growing, and learning.
After my baptism, the most eager desire of my heart was to be sealed in the temple and start a family. I prayed every night that I would be led to the man that Iโd be sealed to.
This desire of family echoes our spiritโs memory of a premortality in heaven, when we experienced love in itโs purest form. Our desire to be with our family forever is heavenly and innately who we are.
God commanded Adam and Eve to โbe fruitful and multiply, and replenish the earthโ (genesis 1:28) this commandment is still enforce today.
Families are the crowning glory of our time spent in this mortal probation and an essential source of everlasting joy.
At this time of our life, we find our resources to be scarce.
We have been blessed in abundance and the Lord always provides, but paychecks go quickly and nearing the time of pennies at the bottom of our coin purse, meals are prepared with what I can find.
Sometimes this means leftovers are upcycled into creative concoctions so that nothing is wasted. I have young children who tend to turn their nose up at anything green or not strategically masked in cheese.
After an especially long day, I combined ingredients to make a meal that I was sure my children would refuse to eat. I didnโt want another evening at the dinner table to be spent in a standoff and battle of wills.
My husband came home after long hours spent working to provide for his family and approached me with a kiss. I expressed my concern to him and through his own exhaustion, sensing mine, he brought our children over to the stove, hoisted them up and encouraged them to add ingredients to my pot.
With joy, Ezra added onion powder and willow added salt.

Evangelical: ๐ Your religion was invented by Joseph Smith in 1830!
LDS: Interesting. Which of our beliefs did he invent?
Evangelical: You believe God still speaks to prophets!
LDS: Amos 3:7. Ephesians 4:11. Revelation 11:3.
Evangelical: Okay, but you believe in additional scripture!
LDS: John 21:25. Ezekiel 37:16โ17. Revelation 10:11.
Evangelical: You believe people can become like God! That's blasphemy!
LDS: Psalm 82:6. John 10:34. Romans 8:17. 2 Peter 1:4.
Evangelical: You believe baptism is necessary!
LDS: John 3:5. Acts 2:38. 1 Peter 3:21.
Evangelical: You believe in a Great Apostasy!
LDS: Acts 20:29โ30. 2 Thessalonians 2:3. 1 Timothy 4:1.
Evangelical: Well, your Book of Mormon teaches a different Jesus!
LDS: Have you read it?
Evangelical: No. I don't need to.
LDS: It teaches that Jesus is the Son of God, died for our sins, was resurrected on the third day, and that salvation comes only through Him.
Evangelical: Well, that's not the REAL gospel!
LDS: 1 Corinthians 15:1โ4.
Evangelical: ๐ก STOP TAKING SCRIPTURES OUT OF CONTEXT!
LDS: Okay. What's the context?
Evangelical: ...
LDS: Have you actually read the Bible?
Evangelical: Of course! I believe in the Bible alone!
LDS: Where does the Bible teach that?
Evangelical: ...
LDS: So who invented that doctrine, and when?
Evangelical: YOU'RE IN A CULT!!!
I have a question for all of you wonderful crazy people on this app I have the privilege of calling my friends!
Have you experienced ANY personal/meaningful benefits from interacting with me?
Recently I was accused of leading people away from Jesus Christ because of the choices Iโve made concerning my appearance.
I know that this is a silly and baseless accusation, but it has been lingering on my heart for some time now, and I wanted to turn outward for some further insight and feedback!
So many things go into the way an individual feels about modesty than people are willing to admit.
Church standards aside, the way a person presents themselves is based entirely upon the preferences and experiences of the individual.
I would love to know how many outside factors come into play when considering these situations, like were they raised in a lax or strict household? Do they have a positive or negative sense of self? Do they like the way look? How is their self confidence? Have they ever experienced abuse?
When you pause to consider the white beneath the black (aka spirit vs letter) you can see itโs deeper than finger tip length shorts and two piece swimming suits.
So rather than fighting over the โwhatโ consider investigating the โwhyโ

Elisha was a prophet, didnโt have much hair
Children were a-laughing, said that he was bare
Then there came some she-bears, ate them through and through
If you mock the prophet, bears will eat you too.
Watching college football with non sports fans knowing fully well theyโre about to see how superstitiously unhinged you are
I silently judge my 7 month old for ripping cheeks straight off her car seat loud enough for the overflow to hear while the sacrament is being passed๐
I silently judge parents with crying kids in church.
Not because their kid is crying, but because they havenโt taken them out of the room after the first 30 seconds of failing to get the kid to stop.
I get it, kids cry for many, many reasons. But if they are so upset or belligerent that they canโt stop after 30 seconds, you should take them out.
Also, just because youโre sitting in the overflow doesnโt mean nobody can hear your kids tap dancing.
How it feels to be a BYU fan
Cougar Nation, I had a bad take yesterday on BYU sports. Didn't handle the loss to UCF all that well.
It somewhat feels like we're in Groundhog Day. We have a lot to be grateful though. I just want that special season is all, and the loss to UCF sucked.
Gonna be in LES cheering for our guys on Saturday, and after further reflection and review, it appears BYU is just gonna win out and go 11-1!!!!
Let's go, Cougs!!!!
Since people have suggested I donate plasma while we wait for my husband to get another job I thought itโd be wise for me to share I will not be doing that ๐
Have you ever had a blown vein?
How about a nuked one?๐
Story time ๐ฅณ
The last time I donated plasma, my phlebotomist (first day on the job btw, unbeknownst to me) stuck THROUGH my vein, and then pulled back enough to achieve what seemed to be a normal flow to begin the extraction process.
Everything was fine until it came time for the return ๐ my arm started swelling and with the blood pressure cuff on it began to feel unbearable. I flagged the phlebotomist who then got his supervisor.
When I tell you Iโve never been more dismissed in my LIFEโฆ.
This girl (very mean) very condescendingly explained that he most likely โjust blew the veinโ and suggested he try again on the other side ??? I was like maโam. My arm canโt straighten rn Iโm taking my $35 (totally worth it btw) and leaving.
I remember specifically asking her: โSo am I going to be hella bruised then?โ
And she told me in her best valley girl accent: โI mean you may be a LITTLE bruised, but I wouldnโt say HELLA bruisedโ
Ladies and gentlemen the bruise:
