In the Assembly today. Sinn Féin is absolutely clear that a new constitutional settlement must provide guarantees for all religious, civil & democratic rights; & for all traditions, including the orange culture.

Jon Burrows’ recent comments about Sinn Féin reflect the same arrogance and supremacy as those of his predecessors. The days of domination are over. It is the people who decide who they vote for and who becomes First Minister. Not Jon Burrows, Gavin Robinson or anyone else.

The decision not to allow a loyal order march through the lower Ormeau community is the correct one. The days of nationalists being treated as second-class citizens are over. There is no going back.

Gerry Kelly has announced that he will stand for re-election as a Sinn Féin candidate in North Belfast in the next Assembly election. Next year’s elections will be the most important in generations. They are an opportunity to make a stand for the future. To stand up against those who want to drag us back to the past. To say very clearly that there will be No Going Back.

💥⚠️NEW: 'This is all about protecting veterans' - Sinn Féin MLA slams Troubles Bill amendments 🎥🎤@sinnfeinireland MLA @DeirdreHargey tells Chief Reporter @jamesgould23 that the amendments do nothing to give victims and survivors confidence in how legacy issues are dealt with in Northern Ireland. She was speaking as the Government's Northern Ireland Troubles Bill is set to be discussed in the House of Commons today. Among a series of amendments tabled by the Government, serious Troubles-related prosecutions would require the consent of the UK Attorney General. MPs are expected to vote on the legislation next week. If passed, it will move to the House of Lords for further consideration. Labour has faced criticism over delays and aspects of the Bill, but the Government insists the changes will protect veterans while allowing victims' families to continue seeking answers and justice. More on-air and online.

I’m not saying that the mainstream media companies are terrified of the prospect of a Sinn Féin government, but I’m not saying they’re not, either! All within the last few days btw 👇

I have confidence in the people of the Garvaghy Road. I have confidence in the people from right across Ireland who stood with them to protect peace and progress. I have confidence in the vast majority of people in our society, from all backgrounds, who do not want to be dragged backwards. And I have confidence in my decision to support the Garvaghy Road residents. It’s 2026, not 1969. There is no going back.

Absolutely incredible news for the residents of the Garvaghy Road who only ever wanted peace. The parties who stood with them will be remembered. The parties who didn’t, will too. The Orange Order will not march on Garvaghy Road. Not now. Not ever.
