Why not just buy a fluffy cat and a revolving chair?
After six wonderful years at UK Music, I'm joining Palantir UK as Senior Vice President. Palantir is the most interesting company on the planet, doing work of real consequence: helping Britain and its allies defend themselves, helping police protect our citizens and helping NHS staff get patients treated and home sooner. London is comfortably its largest centre outside the US, home to more than one in six employees, the highest proportion among the world's largest technology companies. We have challenges. Some criticism is propaganda. Some raises legitimate questions about large technology companies and sovereign control. Both require answers. Part of my role will be to correct false information while working with our engineers to ensure privacy, security and respect for sovereignty are at the heart of everything we do.

@GNRailUK What’s going on with the peak time Cambridge to Kings Cross trains? Every recent journey they’ve been four carriages short making them very busy and uncomfortable. Is this a permanent change?

Him being scared by bikes and buses is even funnier.
Raise the Colours ringpiece in chief, Ryan Ferguson thinks Brighton Pavilion is "brand new"... He's offended by a 200 year old building because he thinks the domes and minarets, built by King George IV, are a sign of creeping Islamic immigration. 🙄

She liked being "strict" with children, he made jokes about raping Year 10 girls.
Gosh won’t we miss Rod Liddle! A genius comedian while always speaking from the heart. He was so supportive of us at Michaela. Knew how destructive smartphones are to kids. Fought the good fight while telling us all to take a leap! He was the best of them. May he RIP. 😢

Fascinating thread.
Re: Jodrell Bank, what is this kind of architecture called anyway? It's dominated my life from school age. 'Something functional built in Britain post-war to last a short time but which never got replaced' is the closest I can get to a name.

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇮🇹❤️ This is incredible! 4th division English side Grimsby Town released their new away kit which is inspired by Italian culture and the video is superb. 🤌 In 1996, Grimsby and Milan had almost identical kits, so they decided to bring it back. 👕

If France get another goal they should put the reserves on and start breaking Paraguayan legs.

White South Africans claiming Scottish and Irish heritage because obviously nothing was their fault despite being barely a generation away from apartheid.
I had to explain the hierarchy of support the other day to a Dutch guy who didn’t understand why we, as South Africans, weren’t supporting Netherlands: 1 Bafana 2 Any other African country 3 Heritage (Scotland, Ireland) 4 Global South 5 Underdogs 6 Anyone but England and USA ⚽️

1. Hats off to Partick fans. 2. I can't help reading this whole photo in Mark E Smith's voice.

Oh come on, he's just senile, it doesn't preclude liking what he did when he was working.
Nor does Islam, you ignorant, bigoted, redpilled old fool. I can’t believe I grew up loving you in Fawlty Towers and Monty Python movies. How the mighty fall.

What do Epsteiners do when even the present government won't have them? Write for the Spectator.
Donald Trump’s dramatic intervention in Venezuela has achieved much more than to bring a brutal, corrupt dictator and drug trafficker to justice in an American court of law, something which no amount of human rights declarations, international law or indictments in the international criminal court were able to achieve. It took President Trump deciding it was in America’s interests to helicopter Nicolas Maduro to face justice, and this is the awful truth that Europe’s political leaders are coming to terms with: Trump has the means and the will and they don’t. ✍️ Peter Mandelson
