Listen, I get marginal tax rates, I get a progressive tax system, but I always thought it was wild how steep the curve is through middle class income. Like let people get ahead a little bit and have a small win before you tax the shit out of them.
The jump from 12% to 22% is the middle finger to the middle class.

For those wondering, here's how this works: In California, anyone can propose a ballot initiative. But to get it in front of voters, you need: • $2,000 filing fee • 546,651 valid voter signatures from registered voters in 180 days • Usually campaigns hire professional petition firms to get these votes For this one specifically, here's what it took: • $10.7M spent gathering signatures • $71.2M raised to pass it • About $63.2M came from Michelson or his organization Right now it looks likely to pass. $71.2M investment to get $4.2B.

The deal highlights a valuation gap: even weak, short-lease, pre-2000 assets cleared at $21-26M/MW (2x PSP build costs of $10-12M/MW). PSP leases are longer (10-20 yrs with escalators) on modern shells. They trade near 9x 2028 EV/EBITDA vs ~18.5x for DLR/EQIX. Morgan Stanley sees large upside for the group as pure landlords. Related-party buyer and lower competing bids temper the signal, and financing/power risks remain material. On pure comps the shells look relatively cheap if execution holds.

Guy I just met is a buying rent-stabilized apartment building in New York City. How much is he paying? The seller is paying HIM $1M Why? Because the seller would default on their entire portfolio if they default on this one deal, and they have to get out now to save their other buildings.

Canada has tons of datacenter capacity available, but you'd need to bet against an administration that might impose a 50% datacenter revenue tax overnight
there is no more real datacenter space left in the US 99% of people claiming they have capacity are resellers reselling a reseller who's reselling a seller who owns a patch of dirt with enough power to run 3 used toasters. or a colo expanding in Q4 '27 hardware prices will be flat and rentals will skyrocket

We found NVIDIA’s latest Blackwell Ultra B300 GPUs on Chinese networks. 👀🇨🇳 Together with @JordanNanos from @SemiAnalysis_, we analyzed data from 12,000+ NVIDIA GPUs. It all started with a vulnerability in NVIDIA’s GPU monitoring software. Here’s how we uncovered it. 🧵👇

Modular
Could not be more excited to announce Spark Liquid: @CrusoeAI’s newest modular datacenter product manufactured in our newest factory. - builds on the proven Spark platform, which is the only modular datacenter platform to achieve NVIDIA Exemplar reliability and performance standards - deployable in weeks not years - compact and low-profile - compatible with any energy source - massively scalable - zero operational water use - designed for next gen @nvidia chips and DSX-compatible

I talked to a friendly, from a major hyper scaler, on the GPU order to install lead time (per people freaking out some are ordered and not installed) and the lead time is and always has been a range of one to two quarters. Given data center timing (they call this staged integration) the supply chain is notoriously difficult to manage across compute, cooling, power, etc. Any concern of GPUs waiting to be energized is a nothing burger and is totally detached from the reality of supply chain management, especially that of semis. We remain early in the adoption cycle for AI, we need a lot more compute, and the demand profile only increases to rise. Hope that helps :)

"Distributed modular inference compute"
He’s going to cast his own blades and vanes Eager to dig into this tomorrow. But saying +10GW with capacity for +20GW I wonder what total capacity is for B&V today and how long it took to stand up

any possibility (albeit unlikely) that having money doesn't allow you to have 3 kids, but having 3 kids is more likely to lead you to higher wealth (because you have to work more / harder to pay for the 3rd kid)
