COVID booster + flu shot at @SF_DPH, no appointment: in and out in 20 minutes. Free.
COVID booster + flu shot at @Walgreens, WITH APPOINTMENT: 50 minutes wait. $60.
Anyone who blindly says the private sector is more capable or efficient than the public sector is full of shit.
A week into standard time, and I dunno about you, but to me, it still consistently feels later than it actually is...
I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again: it’s quaint the @SFMTA_Muni thinks its holiday (and Sunday!) schedules constitute a “functional transit system.”
Were you laid off in the last year? Have time for an anonymous, super-short 3 question survey?

(I'm curious about something, so I'm collecting some data!)
(h/t for reposting for reach!)
OH: “If by ‘Gen Z’ you mean ‘an all encompassing, incurable sense of misanthropy,’ then yes… I was a Gen Z before it was cool.”
Metaphorically or actually?
It's a law of SRE that no airline incident can pass without being turned into a metaphor about computers, so I look forward to one day seeing @jpaulreed give a conference talk about some jackhole pulling a gun on a colleague at a FAANG.
So I learned one very important lesson this #Halloween: @geravitywave and I went as “Non-binary ketchup and mustard”:
Because of a boring man named George Brummell, men’s fashion is… boring. (Look it up. This dude sucks.) So bright colors are hard to find.
When we went shopping, we basically started in the “women’s section,” and then stayed there, since that’s where all the bright colors are.
This article looks like it might be notable.
(But... I keep getting too distracted to finish it... 😬😬😬)

Oh my gosh! The SREcon24 Americas CFP closes tomorrow?!
How the time flies... if you have something to say about SREness—and I know y'all do—get those submissions in by 11:59 Pacific!

I guess I broke @geravitywave’s glasses tonight.
I’m blaming it on a freak graupel accident.
OH: “I am walking out of the Metro at Embarcadero, but I fully expect on the walk to the Ferry Building, a @SFMTA_Muni driver will stop their bus, get out, and shoot me in the legs, because Muni is determined to fuck up every single trip of mine today.”
This @sfchronicle story about a hurricane some 1600 miles away in another country may not immediately make sense… but it’s the kind of (important!) reporting you get when you have a diverse newsroom who understands its local community’s connections. sfchronicle.com/weather/arti…
Great fun to catching up with @lnxchk to discuss the entire spectrum of post-incident action item possibilities, and what which ones your team completes tells you about your organization and how it reasons about incidents and resilience! pageittothelimit.com/priorit…
