Sadly, minutes after tweeting this, I drove by my shul and saw that someone had torn down all the posters from the fence.
Why do people do this? It’s so evil.
There is still beauty in the world.
Yesterday, on my walk to Shabbat morning services, a car slowed down as it approached me.
I was on the sidewalk directly next to our shul, which has #BringThemHome posters of the hostages hanging on the exterior fence.
In this type of situation nowadays, you sadly have no idea what is going to happen.
The passenger side window lowered, and the driver – a woman – called out to me.
"Hi. I'm from [the church down the block]. Is it OK if we put flowers out here for the hostages?" she asked.
My face relaxed, into a smile.
"Yes, of course. Thank you," I said.
"God be with you all," she said. "We're praying."
How blessed we are to have people who care.

I’m in the middle of reading “Why the Jews?” by @DennisPrager where he so eloquently describes the “non-Jewish Jew” - the person whose Jewish identity consists of nothing more than having been born a Jew.
They are often radical and contribute to hatred of Jews, but their behavior is often identified as Jewish.
This is who he is referring to.
The book was written in 1983.
