The election is a cover-up to prevent you from finding out director Tinto Brass died. They dont want you watching movies about women with beautiful asses

I have been waiting patiently for it to get fixed since I know nothing in this modern world actually works. But I give up. THE ESPN APP SUCKS MOOSE COCK! I cannot get Sunday NFL Countdown on it. It takes three or four buttons before you reach anything even when it does work. IT SHOULD SHOW WHAT IS LIVE ON ESPN THE MINUTE YOU GO TO IT! Does that take a rocket science to figure it out? Fuck!

I really think momentum is the way to make it in the movie industry. When a project loses heat, change the approach. The projects that have the most momentum, push harder. The things that move fast tend to be winners. 2 cents.

CGI gore has ruined my enjoyment of countless modern horror movies, but will we ever return to the glory days of practical effects? I spoke to genre filmmakers and special effects makeup artists to find out. vulture.com/article/cgi-gore…

After 81 seasons, the NBA has officially ended. The Boston Celtics won the most championships in NBA history at 18. Thank you to everyone who was involved in the NBA from the beginning to the end, it was one hell of a run! 🫡
The NBA has partnered with Kalshi as a preferred prediction market of the league. It will focus on bringing NBA data to Kalshi’s markets, and direct collaboration on market integrity, consumer protections, and athlete safety.

Japanese Yakuza films were really a masterclass in blocking in this regard. I've lost count of how many scenes in the Battles Without Honour and Humanity series look like this, often involving even more people. (Battles Without Honour and Humanity: Proxy War)
Replying to @shadowknightdk
Genuinely how else are you supposed to shoot a scene of 20 different important characters in one room. Like be for real

One of the best and most original films I’ve ever seen. A totally unique mix of strange, creepy and funny
This week: POSSIBLY IN MICHIGAN a film by CECELIA CONDIT. 1983. 12 min. The video artist whose analog horror has gained a new audience in the social media era explores the eeriness of suburbia in this musical about a handsome cannibal. For one week on lecinemaclub.com.

John Boorman has a good line about this. When you make a film, you’re turning money into light. But the real trick is that you have to then turn the light back into money.
Filmmaking can never be ethical. You are stealing light and sound and putting it inside a little box. That is not nice

Now that you’ve seen THE DEVILS, I implore you all to see Ken Russell’s CRIMES OF PASSION if you haven’t already. Horny, hilarious, romantic and profoundly sad all at once, it’s the film Douglas Sirk would have made if he’d known about poppers and pegging.

I saw someone on here talking about how no one should ever work for free. They were talking about acting but I think it can equate to any film industry job. Look, while I know producers and execs are taking advantage more than ever, I just want to say that is insane advice. I do work for free or dirt cheap all the time. Every "yes" from me boils down to at least one of four things: does it pay really well, is it for a close friend or someone I love collaborating with, am I obsessed with it creatively, or do I see a clear path how it could push my career forward. If one of those hits, I'm probably in. I can pinpoint the VAST majority of higher paying gigs I've had directly back to a gig I did for free or for like $200/day. 90% of success in this industry is built on meeting awesome people and them realizing you are also awesome. This industry is all about stuff like that. Don't get taken advantage of, but also don't immediately close the door on opportunities because of some made up rule.

One of the worst trends of the 21st century America is the gradual bleaching of color from public spaces.

I know we're not supposed to break the fourth wall, but the show we're in now was spun off from some thing called The Apprentice.
Is there an equivalent to The Simpsons in a show that not only completely overshadows the show it spun off from but becomes so dominant of a culture force that most people don’t even remember where it started
