Don’t buy into the abundance-era narrative. It’s a dangerously misleading story. Freedom is never given — it’s always fought for.

AI optimists keep invoking the Industrial Revolution as proof that everything works out in the end.
But the real history is darker — and more useful.
Technology alone did not deliver the happy ending.
Policy intervention did.
The part everyone skips is the part we most need to study.
I wrote about what that means for AI:

Prediction: business that can’t develop native AI models won’t sustain very well. To the extreme, even business like Palantir won’t sustain very well if it kept staying out of model development.

But looking forward, Palantir has to go into the foundational model business. The reason is simple. More and more will be encapsulated natively into models, though for now it’s not that obvious. $PLTR

I have been helping families in Venezuela for 10 years and anyone who hasn’t been there or in close contact with people there have no clue. People are just addicted to being mad. Well while ur mad, Venezuela is happy for the first time in 25 years.

Hayek was asked to leave “a statement for the future generations.” His response is brilliant:
“Modern civilization which enables us to maintain 4 billion people was made possible by the institution of private property. It is only thanks to this institution that we achieved an extensive order far exceeding anybody’s knowledge.”
“If you destroy that moral basis, which consists in the recognition of private property, we will destroy the sources which nourish present-day mankind, and create a catastrophe of starvation beyond anything mankind has yet experienced.”

Prompt Theory (Made with Veo 3)
What if AI-generated characters refused to believe they were AI-generated?
Don’t buy into the abundance-era narrative. It’s a dangerously misleading story. Freedom is never given — it’s always fought for.
It's very clear. Any species is destined to be updated into an updated version. The only question is when. That's how evolution in universe work. So what's the next story after human race? What's our evolved version? Civilized humanity has been decelerating human biological evolution to the extreme. It's replaced with the real evolution: culture or knowledge, or civilization. What would be the final results of human civilization evolution?
Ultimately, a crowdsourced super intelligence global brain will be the best wish that would ever happened for humanity to win. I’ve been thinking about this for a while, like years. There will be NOT an ALL-IN-ONE super intelligence. The universe itself is an example. It is structure constrained and energy constrained.

ELON: THE PROBABILITY OF MECHAZILLA CATCHING STARSHIP IS ABOVE ZERO
“It'll weigh about 250 tons.
We'll make that lighter over time.
So, you got a couple of hundred tons plummeting more than half the speed of sound.
So, this thing is still coming in really fast.
Pretty much down in a downward direction.
So then, they light the engines, so it's got to slow itself down very fast and correct any errors.
Whatever the X-Y error is when the engines land, it's got to take out that X-Y error and then drop the velocity to basically zero, come in between the arms.
The arms will be wide, and as it's coming in, the arms will close, go flush against the side of the vehicle, and the vehicle will be descending through the arms.
And those tiny little, you can barely see them, the little knobs, those kinds of lifting lugs will touch the top of the arms, and then it will hopefully not shear off and crumple.
Success is one of the possible outcomes.
The probability is uncertain, but it is above zero.”
