A good abstract is crucial, which can make them intimidating, especially when they have low word limits.
Structuring them around these 5 sentences has made them a lot less daunting for me, and *typically* can keep me pretty concise. π€

On #NationalLatinoPhysicianDay, we celebrate & keep opening doors.
Our communities need more Latino physicians. Our future doctors need mentorship, support, and opportunity. Our patients deserve accessible care without fear.
To the next generation: you belong here. We need you.
One professional recommendation that I think everyone - but especially grad students/early career scholars - could benefit from: make sure your *current* email address is easily accessible & consistent across platforms. This helps with branding as well!
Academic #Swifties, I know we all have deadlines, but @taylorswift13 announced The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore deluxe album, so I think we can all agree those deadlines have changed.

I am incredibly proud of Deputy Kasey Lewis and her hard work earning a spot on the @HCSOTexas Dive Team. While she is the first woman to join the team since 2017, Deputy Lewis remains focused on what matters most: the mission of recovering evidence and bringing closure to families.
Her dedication reflects the high standards of our entire Dive Team and Marine Unit.
Please join me in congratulating Deputy Lewis and commending the ongoing success of this outstanding team. πβοΈ
