A baby boy was strapped inside his stroller when a powerful gust of wind sent it rolling straight toward a busy road. His great-aunt desperately chased after him, but fell hard onto the pavement.
As cars sped past just ahead, she could only watch helplessly as the stroller kept rolling. But someone across the parking lot had spotted what was happening, and suddenly took off running.
It happened in Hesperia, California. A woman was standing beside her car with her great-nephew in his stroller when a sudden gust of wind pushed it away from her. She immediately ran after it, but lost her footing and fell hard onto the asphalt. She struggled to get back up, only to fall again, helplessly watching the baby roll farther away.
Just across the parking lot, Ron Nessman had been waiting outside a nearby car wash after a job interview. He spotted the runaway stroller and realized it was heading straight toward the road. Without hesitating, he took off running, desperately trying to close the distance before the stroller reached the passing vehicles.
The entire terrifying moment was captured on a security camera. As the stroller approached the edge of the parking lot, Ron caught up and grabbed the handle, stopping it before it entered the street. He then carefully brought the baby back to his shaken great-aunt, who was overcome with relief.
But what makes Ron’s story even more remarkable is what he had been going through himself. After losing his girlfriend, he had struggled with homelessness and was working to rebuild his life. That day, he had been trying to get a job. Instead, he found himself in the right place at exactly the right moment to save a little boy.
The rescue video spread across the country, and Ron later received news that he’d gotten the job he had interviewed for. A man who was trying to turn his own life around had just become someone else’s hero.
Men like Ron remind us all that good people still exist. Let’s make sure he gets the recognition he deserves.

Friends! It’s all going on for us at the moment! Baby Dog had a little benign cyst on his back, which he has managed to scratch off! He needs to wear his body suit for a few days whilst it heals. He took this is his usual ‘calm’ way and decided the answer to feeling better was a game of Hide & Seek with Ron.

The war on Iran added $160 billion to gas and diesel spending in the US. The average US consumer paid nearly $500 in extra fuel costs, compared to a global average of roughly $60.
Not to mention the fact that rising diesel prices will raise the cost of freight transport, shipping, and supply chains, which drives up the retail cost of groceries, goods, and airfares.
We were misled about the reasons behind this war, the amount of casualties, the duration of the intervention, and the domestic financial toll.

This is corruption, pure and simple.
The biggest winner from this rule change is Texas oil billionaire Jeffery Hildebrand, whose company Hilcorp built its fortune buying up old, leaky wells and ranks as the nation's top methane emitter by one analysis of EPA data. After never being a big political giver, he and his wife poured $15 million into Trump and Republicans. Then Trump made his wife an ambassador and put his former lobbyist in charge of rewriting this very rule at the EPA.
It's also really stupid policy. Imagine your gas bill keeps climbing and the utility company finds a leak in the line to your house. Instead of fixing it, they decide to stop checking for leaks altogether. That's basically what the Trump administration just did to the whole country.
Methane is natural gas, the same stuff that heats our homes and runs our stoves. A rule on the books was supposed to make companies find the biggest leaks and fix them. Now it's being gutted.
Some of the worst offenders are small, older wells like Hildebrand's. They produce only about 6% of our oil and gas but account for up to half the methane leaking from the fields.
Families living near these wells breathe that pollution every day, and methane drives about a third of the warming we're seeing. And letting wells leak won't lower what you pay at the pump one bit.
Fix the leaks, save the energy, keep the air clean. That's common sense, and the opposite of the corruption and stupidity we're seeing.

President Trump's planned 250-foot-tall arch would cast shadows on many graves and monuments in nearby Arlington National Cemetery, the @washingtonpost's 3-D analysis found.
On some days, Trump's arch would even shade the grave and eternal flame of JFK.

For nearly a month, this Administration has delayed approving vital Patriot and NASAMS air defense missiles for Ukraine. The Secretary of Defense must immediately approve these deliveries to protect Ukrainian civilians from Russian attacks and defend the energy infrastructure they depend on for heat and power as winter approaches. We must continue to stand with Ukraine and ensure it has the tools to defend itself.

Zuckerberg already admitted it wrongly suspended the No Kings Instagram account during the peak of a massive voter-mobilization effort.
Now, seven days before the midterms, Zuckerberg has suspended the account Angie Nixon’s Senate campaign uses to organize Latino voters.
At what point do repeated “mistakes” that suppress organizing by Democrats become an election-integrity crisis?
