My department has fought for the rights of Michigan working families — establishing a new unit to combat payroll fraud, protecting MI's prevailing wage policy, enforcing equal pay for equal work laws & more. I'm proud to have the endorsement of @MIBldgTrades in this election.

Dr. King & Corretta Scott King moved their family to Chicago to bring attention to the housing slums of the North. Sadly, the realities of housing in 1966 can still be seen in BIPOC communities across our county.
We have work to do!
In 1966 Dr. King moved to Chicago to organize and join with tenants in their fight against unfair housing practices. Their “Chicago Freedom Movement” campaign led directly to the passage of the Fair Housing Act two years later in 1968. #HouseNY 2/8

The pandemic forced us to change our plans for MLK day this year, but we have plenty to celebrate.
