The UKโs Two-Tier Justice System on Full Display ๐งต๐
An Osman warning (officially known in the UK as a Threat to Life (TTL) notice) is an official notification issued by the police when intelligence indicates a real and immediate risk to an individual's life, but there is not yet enough evidence to make an arrest.
The warnings originated from a 1998 European Court of Human Rights ruling (following the 1988 murder of Ali Osman).
In Tommy Robinsonโs โharassmentโ trial at Southwark Crown Court, agreed facts presented to the jury stated that he had received four Osman warnings from the police between 2018 and 2024.
Tommy and his legal defense have previously claimed in court and public statements that he and his family have faced threats of sufficient seriousness to warrant around 12 Osman warnings over the years.
The Daily Mail sent a reporter and a photographer to track down Tommy while he was abroad.
They subsequently published a front-page exposรฉ containing:
* His physical location: The paper revealed he was staying at a resort hotel near Ayia Napa, Cyprus.
* Photographs: The feature included photographs of Robinson on vacation, notably one of him reclining on a sunbed using his mobile telephone.
* Family context: The coverage made it clear he was vacationing abroad with his children.
While the Daily Mail maintained in court that it did not publish identifiable images of his children, Robinson argued passionately in the witness box that the articles effectively unmasked his private location, exposed his ex-wife and children, and triggered severe online security threats against his family.
The central premise of the Daily Mailโs August 2024 coverage was directly tying his social media activity to the civil unrest in the UK, explicitly using the front-page headline: "Stoking race riots from his sunbed".
They linked him to the Southport riots by reporting on his digital activity, focusing on the high volume of anti-immigration social media posts, commentary, and videos he was broadcasting to millions of followers on X while the UK riots were unfolding on the ground.
Tommyโs legal team argued that he did not issue direct commands or instructions to riot.
Instead, they highlighted instances where he explicitly urged his followers to remain peaceful or called for calm amidst the breaking civil unrest.
Because he was physically out of the country in Cyprus, his supporters argue he could not have been orchestrating or physically leading the events unfolding on British streets.
This is what made the Daily Mail's headline โStoking race riots from his sunbed" so contentious.
Tommy maintained the characterisation was an unfair, establishment-driven attack that put his family in danger, while the publication stood by its reporting on his โdigital influenceโ
So, the Daily Mail effectively doxxed the location of a man and his family while they were on holiday, despite them having received up to 12 immediate risk warnings to their lives.
Yet, it is Tommy who now faces a 10-year prison sentence, while the Daily Mail receives zero repercussions.

Not Tommy Robinsons biggest fan, not by a long stretch, I do however find it disgusting that he is facing up to 20 years in prison for the exact same things that MSM journalists do all the time.
That could be any one of us.

Just so everyone knows, it's now legal for journalists to put your family in danger but it's illegal to have a rant at them in reply.

The OBR analysis of the budget is reliant on revenues from north sea oil, that the Government haven't signed off on.
So the figures need to go straight in the bin.
This isโฆvery confusing.

But, the Office for Budget Responsibility have based their forecasts on, โestimates of the production from currently producing fields and the NSTAs estimate of production from development of new fields, which include ROSEBANK and from FUTURE DISCOVERIES.โ
So, is it approved or not? Serious questions to answer from the Energy Secretary!

Breaking news..
Tommy Robinson found guilty for pushing back after the Daily Mail doxed his family, smeared him as stoking riots from a sunbed, and put his kids in the crosshairs.
Journalists can hunt you down and publish your private life with zero consequence.
You dare push back and demand they take the photo down? Thatโs โharassment.โ

Not a big deal in the wider scheme of things but also, of course, not possible if the UK were still in the EU, or even just a customs union... ๐

If you are in the EU, at least there is a case for the single market but even then there is a trade-off: benefit from easier trade with the EU; cost from the vast majority of firms who do not export to the EU still being subject to EU regulations.
I think the costs outweigh the benefits. Others may disagree which is fine.
However, re-joining the single market whilst not in the EU would mean giving power to our trading rivals unilaterally to decide what regulations they face when exporting to the UK.
It would be quite insane! I'm sure that won't stop some politicians pushing for it though.

Burnham doesnโt realise what a tough sell a new referendum on EU membership would be
During the Brexit referendum campaign & the subsequent withdrawal process the British public saw Brussels for what it was, a petty antidemocratic cabal of delusional authoritarian mediocrities & they didnโt like it

Now the rest of us are going to have to pay the price for their unwillingness to accept the 2016 referendum result.

The whole thing of Russian involvement in UK elections, is about instability. It is not trying to put a particular party into power - it wants chaos, for us to be too busy navel gazing to do anything else.

Brexit is and always was a class issue.
The middle class are still furious at the inconvenience of it being more difficult for Ollie or Jemima to go to Uni in Italy, or go inter railing round Europe on their gap yah. (They can still do those things btw)
Theyโre fuming that the oiks voted to make them fill in a few more forms to get their au pair a visa and theyโre raging that they have a bit more trouble popping over to their holiday home in France.
They were never in danger of being undercut by Eastern European builders taking their jobs and they were not concerned at large corporations bringing in hordes of cheap labour pricing out Brits on low incomes.
The working class voted for Brexit and ten years on the middle class are attempting to overturn that democratic vote.
Labour is now the party of the middle class which is why Burnham is trying to appeal to them by negotiating freedom of movement with the EU.
He knows it would be disastrous for the working class he claims to represent but he knows who is voting for Labour now.

Some of the 'Brexit benefits' in today's Budget...
1โฃ strong commitment to 'Buy British' (hard to square this with EU procurement rules)
2โฃ additional funding for 'PuFIns', such as the British Business Bank (hard to square with EU rules on state aid)
3โฃ more cuts in UK tariffs on imports of food, drink and energy (not possible if the UK were still a member of the EU, or even a customs union)...

Why are they lowering barriers to overseas workers instead of training British men and women?
British people do not want more immigration.
