We’ve had wind farms before, but getting them this deep into the mountains requires a "Blade Lifter" just to angle the blades into the sky so they don't hit the cliffs on these extreme hairpin turns.

Georgi Eliava (1892-1937), Georgian microbiologist, founder of the Bacteriological Institute in Tbilisi, pioneer of phage therapy.
In 1937, Eliava fell victim to the Stalinist purges. He was arrested and shot along with his wife, and their daughter was exiled. She was able to return to Tbilisi only in 1946.
In 1957, Georgi Eliava and his wife were posthumously rehabilitated.

The Holy Resurrection (St. Harutyun) Armenian Apostolic Church of Mbabane, Eswatini (Swaziland). Built in 1985-89 by Grigor Derbelian, an Armenian Genocide survivor who settled in Africa.
Born in Aintab in 1914, Grigor Derbelian fled with his family to Cairo during the Armenian Genocide. After studying in Cairo and working in Khartoum (Sudan) and Johannesburg (South Africa), he moved to Pine Valley in Swaziland. Reminded of Armenia's landscape, Derbelyan purchased 11 acres of land, planted 1,770 pine and fir trees, and constructed the small chapel. The back wall of the chapel wraps around a giant boulder that forms the base for the altar, taking direct architectural inspiration from the rock-cut Geghard Monastery in Armenia. Derbelyan named the small river flowing past the chapel the "Arax River" and posted an official panel designating it as such.
Following Derbelyan's death, members of the local Armenian community petitioned King Mswati III to transfer ownership of the chapel to the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin. One year after Derbelyan's passing, the monarch officially granted the chapel and its surrounding lands to Holy Etchmiadzin in perpetuity.
The chapel was subsequently consecrated and became an official sanctuary of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Eswatini, continuing to host baptisms, weddings, and visitors from across Africa.

There will now be a temptation in many parts of Europe, including the UK, to think that things will eventually go back to normal with the US and that Europe can stop its reluctant shift towards strategic autonomy. That would be a serious mistake.

Erfreulich, dass inzwischen immer mehr Ex-Trump-Fans im rechten Lager erkennen, dass Trump den USA und seiner eigenen Partei schadet und damit der beste Wahlhelfer der zunehmend nach links abgedrifteten Demokraten ist.
Seine Zollpolitik ist totaler Murks, seine Außenpolitik ist Murks und zerstört die Nato, seine offen zur Schau gestellte Korruption ist beispiellos, er hat so viel Schulden gemacht wie kein anderer US-Präsident und seine ewigen Lügen und Nonsens-Aktionen (Umbenennung von Seen etc.) nerven auch.
Leider wiegt das inzwischen schwerer als einige gute Sachen, die er vor allem in der 1. Amtszeit gemacht hat (Deregulierung, Steuersenkung etc.)
