🇵🇸💢 “We came to rebuild our country, the country they destroyed. Why are they attacking us here too?”: Israel strikes Gaza university twice, killing three Israeli strikes hit the campus of the Islamic University in western Gaza City twice on Sunday, less than four hours apart, killing three university security guards and wounding several others, including students.  “Today, we were studying in class, minding our business, while the professor was explaining. Suddenly, an airstrike hit directly beneath us, a massive explosion,” Mohammed Qandil, an engineering student, told Drop Site’s Abdel Qader Sabbah. Qandil said he was attending a physics lecture when the strike hit directly beneath the classroom. “We came here to learn and get an education. We came to rebuild our country, the country they destroyed and devastated. Why are they attacking us here too?” “All we're asking for is our right to education, nothing more. We don't want anything else. We just want our right to education.” 🎥 @AbdSabbah91

The UN Charter was treated with disdain by Canada in this VERY speech when Anand blamed Iran for the aggressive war waged against it by the U.S./Israel and called Iran, not the U.S. and Israel who are actively violating the Charter as we speak, the principle threat to the region
Anita Anand: "Great powers want the rest of us to accept what we are offered. And too often, state sovereignty, the cornerstone of the UN Charter, has been treated with disdain."

Carney supported the kidnapping of Maduro & his wife. He supports US sanctions on Cuba. He never condemned the Minab school massacre. He regurgitates Zionist talking points. He supports Trump's "annihilation" of Iran. What more must he say before Canadians hold him accountable??
JUST IN: CANADA PM CARNEY ON IRAN: “The Iranian threat is one of the biggest threats in the world, the modern world. For example, there is still an existential threat to Israel caused by Iran and its allies. It still exists. It is not acceptable. It has never been acceptable.”

US threatened to annihilate 93 million Iranians - children, moms, dads, grammas, thousands of Canadian Iranians who live in Iran - and Canada is ok with it according to Carney. So let's not pretend we respect intl law or humanity at this point.
Reporter: But do you think that Mr. Trump goes too far when he says he is considering destroying Iran? Mark Carney: Well, there is a war underway, and he's speaking the language of war.

If Trump says he wants to destroy Canada, apparently @MarkJCarney would be fine with it because it is just "language of war".

The biggest threat to the world is the blatant hypocrisy and chauvinism of Western leaders. They support aggression against others & call it self-defense. When the same is threatened against them they scream & cry no fair!

A village in India staged a “water funeral” in protest against a multi-billion dollar river-linking project. 22 villages and over 6,000 families would need to be displaced for its construction to go ahead.

🟢STUDENT VICTORY🟢 Former IOF professor who seemingly encouraged violence against @UofT students has been removed from teaching & the "Israeli economy" course is cancelled. Respect to all the @occupyuoft organizers and everyone who supports their calls. More info below.
🔴UPDATE🔴 @TheVarsity reports this Israeli professor who seemingly condoned violence against @UofT students and staff is teaching a year long economics class starting in the coming days. Notably, they compare his treatment to that of Prof. Ruth Marshall who was immediately removed from campus by the University over a tweet about Charlie Kirk's murder. When an Israeli professor could be seen to be condoning violence directly against UofT's students/staff, the university is just "aware", but when a professor who has consistently advocated for Palestinian human rights makes a comment about Charlie Kirk, the university takes "immediate action" to put her on leave and shut down the building where she works for "safety". Ludicrous double standards. Excellent reporting by Celesta Maniatogianni.

Annoucement by Canada, UK, France & others to ban goods from illegal settlements in occupied West Bank is important & comes after organizing! Note tho - it is connected to joint efforts to revive Oslo. So we won't see an end to trade agreement with Israel or full arms embargo.

There is a place on the Labrador coast in Canada where an entire community effectively disappeared in a matter of weeks. Not because of war, famine, or relocation. It was because a ship arrived that was carrying an alien cargo. This is the short story of Okak, Labrador. 1/n
