Jensen Huang when asked whether he would rather relive his 20s or be 20 years old today.

Two years of work, and PySR v2 is finally out!
If you haven't used it before: PySR is a machine learning library that finds short equations that fit your data.
I've always wanted a PyTorch for symbolic learning. PySR v2 is a big step towards that:

DeepSeek V4.1-Flash-1017 can now run locally! 🐳
We made 1-bit retain ~88.2% accuracy while shrinking size from 508GB to 250GB (−52%).
Run on a 128GB+ RAM device.
V4.1 Flash 1017 is the strongest open model to date
Guide: unsloth.ai/docs/models/deeps…
GGUF: huggingface.co/unsloth/DeepS…
🚀 DeepSeek-V4.1-Flash-1017 is here!
Stronger benchmark performance, faster task completion, and shorter outputs than the previous version—a Pareto improvement in performance and cost. Now live on our website, app, and API.
🛠️ Optimized for @DeepSeekHarness, Tencent CodeBuddy, WorkBuddy, and more. Upgrade to DeepSeek Harness v0.2.1-rc.1 or later for the best experience with the new model.

Speech can survive being flipped backward every twenty milliseconds.
The same speech in backward pieces of 200 then 100 then 50 then 20 milliseconds.
The original comes last.
When do the words become clear?

1/ We discovered something totally unexpected about the neural structure of consciousness that overturns decades of thinking on its biological basis and brings us significantly closer to the recipe for generating conscious awareness.

I think the simpler answer than this is that alignment is impossible because a utility function is a hindsight construction that an observer constructs about an agent, and not an actual thing that exists inside an agent that can be tweaked or copied or "aligned."

My dear friends, I’d like to show you my latest toy project
Introducing Handwired: turn your regular JavaScript code into a neural net!
- no training
- exact outputs vs the JS program
- fully differentiable
All runnable in a browser, without GPU

Starshield systems are owned and controlled by the US government. Any limits on speed or usage are decided by the US military and ultimately POTUS.
Starlink is a commercial service owned and controlled by SpaceX. Usage of Starlink is limited to civilian or defensive activities and cannot be used for offensive military action, as doing so would be inappropriate for a commercial company.
I feel a lot of ai speculations come from seeing ai as outside or other than nature but everything is natural and under nature and part of nature

The stories that we tell ourselves, maybe that's not needed. 😊
"When something good happens, I'll be alright."
A rule to abide, a human role to play.
Maybe you don't need it, hehe 😄❤️

Optimistic on the 15yr lifetime, but otherwise, yeah. You get TREMENDOUS leverage by launching satellites to orbit. Even if you had an 80% decarbonized grid, it’s still an order of magnitude better to launch stuff into orbit. & the CH4 will eventually be made via Sabatier+PV.

Starship: ~1100 t CH4 (22% of ~5 kt methalox) for 100 t payload.
At ~12.5 kg/kW (AI rack) = ~8 MW IT.
NG CCGT ~0.15 kg CH4/kWh.
15 y continuous: 8e3 kW × 1.314e5 h × 0.15 ≈ 158 kt.
Ratio ~1:140.
