ALT Hi everyone – the following will address HWU, the creation of Hudson Williams Online, & how we, as former HWU admins, intend to move forward 🤍 For full transparency, we have been trying to come to an agreement with the main owner of HWU for days now to allow us to continue running the accounts independently. Unfortunately, we have been unable to reach an agreement, & we are completely locked out of the account, with no way of accessing it, so have made the decision to start again. We deeply wish that it didn’t come to this. We want to apologize, genuinely, to anyone who had ever been slighted by HWU in the past, publicly or privately. Our deepest regret was not standing up for those targeted, out of cowardly fear of losing the accounts. We hope you can understand that our fears were warranted. ALT From late December / early January until this week, HWU was a team of 4. The original admin emphasized it was in her purview as the owner and “manager” of the account to handle the direct communications with the fans in replies, with media outlets who contacted us, with Hudson’s collaborators, etc. We had very limited control in how we were allowed to communicate, outside of regularly updating. However, once we joined in late 2025/early 2026, the 3 of us did a majority of the updating. The account would not have grown over 200K followers across 3 social media platforms without the hard work and dedication that we put into it. The 3 of us have departed from HWU and have decided to create Hudson Williams Online; two of us are based in North America and one in Europe. We deeply, deeply love updating on Hudson, this community, and would love the opportunity to start over with you all with this new account. ALT HWU’S DEACTIVATIONS We were fully blindsided both times. This second time, only one admin, apart from the owner, was awake when the account was deactivated. The other two admins woke up hours later, while the admin who was awake attempted to reason with the owner and get the account back online. We did not agree with this rash decision, nor with the first deactivation either, and felt extremely frustrated and heartbroken that both deactivations happened at monumental points of Hudsons’ career. We want to make it clear that we will never deactivate this account. If for some reason we were to quit, we still wouldn’t deactivate. We hope to build a page that is a beautiful collection of Hudson’s career. We are uncertain with HWU’s fate and whether it will remain inactive, but we are glad that an archive is there. ALT THE MESSAGES Those types of messages were never sent in our communications historically – they were primarily about updates and who was busy/available. We find the content of them disgustingly misogynistic and homophobic. As a team, we typically avoided discussing Hudson’s private life, and want to emphasize the importance of respecting his boundaries. We will not allow any shady, hateful comment towards Hudson, his loved ones, including family and friends, peers, coworkers or employers, to fester in HWO’s replies.
