Edwards deserves to be recognised for the mess he made in the transfer market. Probably the biggest waste of transfer money in the history of the sport.
Hughes & Edwards did real damage to LFC. Spent 600m+ on a title winning squad built by Klopp & left a mess. Instead of fixing it they left it for Iraola to clean up. Now he's stuck with a squad that doesn't suit his style🤭

Nunez Diaz Elliot weren’t better players than Isak Ekitike Wirtz Barcola Iraola has inherited a better team than Slot Same midfield, better attack bar Salah Better defense

10 goals conceded in three champions League games. This is on Iraola, this can't be a single player problem.
🚨🚨| 𝐑𝐄𝐂𝐎𝐑𝐃: Liverpool have conceded 𝟑+ 𝐆𝐎𝐀𝐋𝐒 in THREE consecutive major European matches for the first time in their history! 😳🔴 → 6-3 vs LASK → 4-3 vs Villarreal → 3-2 vs Fenerbahçe 𝟏𝟎 𝐆𝐎𝐀𝐋𝐒 conceded in just four Champions League matches this season! 🤯

ffs can these blue checkmark accounts stop fishing for likes with these silly comparisons. Klopp was a 2x bundesliga champion and CL finalist. I’d give him 10 years to win a trophy Iraola was a mid table manager when he came in and got a million times stronger team than Klopp
Rome wasn't built in a day. It took Jurgen Klopp 3 years and 8 months to win his first trophy at Liverpool. I trust Iraola. He will come good.

Changed a manager who won titles at both clubs he's managed becoz he had 1 bad season, to hiring Iraola who hasnt won anything in his managerial career is 1 hell of a gamble. If you wanted to gamble like that you go and get Cesc.

Slot for another *elite* option was a fair shout - but that’s not what we got. Iraola for Slot was pointless.

Man who actively rooted for the previous manager to fail now taking moral high ground on people wanting managers to fail.
Problem with these Slotsexuals is they’re actively rooting for Iraola to fail while reminiscing over 20 losses. Unhinged.

you simply know if someone is elite or not. we knew Salah and Mane were elite from the 1st minute. knew Klopp would bring us trophies from the 1st game. with Wirtz and current star players you simply do not see that. same with the new manager. this squad is simply not it

nobody said sacking Slot was wrong decision but getting Iraola was clearly the wrong decision
Whenever we drop points, you see the same people come on here saying that it was the wrong decision to sack Slot. It wasn’t. His position was completely untenable by the end. When Anfield boos and you’ve lost the dressing room, there’s simply no way you can stay on. It’s a new project and there are going to be ups and downs. Keep the faith.

People don't want Iraola sacked; they are simply pushing back on the obscene narratives they were forced to swallow last year, which got a Premier League-winning manager sacked. Now, the same ones who pinned everything on one man are talking about an "Imbalanced squad," "Lack of options," and the need to rest players because, without a CF, we would be in big trouble (Remind me who played CF when Hugo tore his Achilles last season)? All the talking points about why we should be happy fighting for the top 4 were ignored last season, so pardon me if people think you are disingenuous for using them as an excuse for the manager this season.

Top reds are incapable of being objective and criticizing the club. If you asked them to give us top2 managers of all time they’d list Klopp and Iraola lmao they also think if you don’t like Iraola, you are a Slot fan. neither were and are not good enough

How’s Intensity working out for you lad ???
Stop romanticising Slot. His football was becoming predictable, performances were declining and the team lacked intensity and consistency. Past achievements don't guarantee future success. Liverpool need to move forward, not live in the past. 🔴

To put Liverpool's defeat into context Fenerbache haven't won a Champions League match since 2008 and lost 6-0 to Aston Villa a couple of weeks ago.

Look at the build-up, the progression, the patterns. He isolated his wingers to perfection. They didn't have to run around like headless chickens. This was the closest thing to elite football we've seen since the 21/22 Liverpool side.

no, its fans who have seen Liverpool being shit pre Klopp and can see we are returning to that level slowly but surely happy clappers who became fans after Klopp joined are happy to never win anything again because they only care about vibes
It’s soooo painfully obvious who became a Liverpool fan after Klopp joined btw. Wants the squad to be world class overnight and can’t even patiently wait for progression

yeah bro losing to City and Arteta at Anfield with 0 shots on target is amazing. glass is full empty
There’s wankers on here who have gone into this season intent on taking glass half empty approach at any given opportunity. Winning every league cup and CL game bar one and only losing to City and Arsenal in the league is struggling 3 times a week.

Yeah but Slot doesn’t deserve time after winning the league, losing a team player thus losing his dressing room ? But you expect me to give time to a man who hasn’t proved anything?
Coaching takes time. Fergie took time, Pep took a season, Klopp took time, Arteta took time, etc. Lot of them came into far worse teams obviously, but even so, manager's don't have a magic wand. You improve with time on the training pitch. Andoni's had a shortened pre-season, 3 games a week, 1 massive international break, and a bunch of new, young players. Show some patience. Judge us at the end of the season. Our expectations are all over the place because both times we won the league we were perfect for the first half of the year. If you think time will lead to better performances and results, then hold faith. If you're 100% convinced that time will only lead this team to get worse, then I get why people might be questioning the manager. The attack has been good in Europe, not great in the league. The defence has been good in the league, not great in Europe.
