π¨ Human rights organisation FairSquare is urging the UK government to investigate possible sanctions against Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan β owner of Manchester City β over alleged UAE support for a paramilitary group accused of war crimes in Sudan. The UAE strongly denies the accusations.
If sanctions were ever imposed, potential measures could include restrictions similar to those placed on former Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich, who was ultimately forced to sell the club.
