EXTREME RAGE. 😡
This STILL pisses me off. And the fact People Magazine covered their wedding like a celebrity event was fucking disgusting. She was an unrepentant child rapist. He was always a victim. Marriage didn’t change that.
This is abuse. I’m pissed off watching this again years later.
Watch Mary Kay Letourneau pressure the boy she sexually abused—now her husband—to take responsibility for HER actions.
“Who was the boss?
Who was the boss back then?!”
“This is ridiculous,” Vili says.
“This is getting weird.”
She keeps pushing.
He was 12 when the abuse began. She was his TEACHER. She stole his innocence, and years later she’s still trying to make him responsible.
“Oh, well, flaw me.”
Flaw you? You sexually abused a CHILD. You should have been locked up for life.
And where was the protective instinct of the women who gave her a pass? How did their sympathy land with HER?
This was normalized through “forbidden love” headlines, wedding coverage and endless media attention.
His abuse became entertainment. Their marriage was packaged as a happy ending.
He never owed her—or anyone—a defense of what she did.
Shame on anyone that encouraged this.
She was an abusive piece of shit.
And good on that interviewer for saying what he did. @7NewsAustralia

Actually
Replying to @FrightNite52
we've been taught for so long that showing emotions is girly, that being angry and tough is manly.
Fathers will beat their baby boys for crying despite the fact that babies can't even talk
There are boys in the comments talking about the pressure to conform to this awful

It's absolutely insane to me how 2006 released not one but TWO openly queer related games in which also touched on the theme of bullying and how the system created by adults fails children.

this is the culture that enabled Brand to rape, assault, and abuse and get away with it for years. on top of escaping accountability, he was rewarded for his behavior. Were it not for the courageous women who came forward about him, risking re-traumatization and re-victimization, Brand would be yet another rapist walking around freely. Enough is enough; may all rapists die
“ I raped someone once,” Brand said in 2013, to raucous laughter from the interviewer and audience.
As @LizKershawDJ writes in her Telegraph article, “Brand was a creation of some of the most powerful players in the media. They were in his thrall. And he was egged on. He was their performing monkey. He made “great telly”. His colleagues were collateral damage.”
Media bosses at the Sun newspaper who celebrated him as “Shagger of the Year” three times (2006, 2007, 2008) and executives who turned a blind eye to his sexual activities with competition winners in BBC lavatories, and allowed him to regale his Radio 2 audience with “what he’d like to do to a newsreader under the desk” should hang their heads in shame.

This is so true. The reality is ppl are going to be more inclined to side with abusers bc victims are disruptive. They're dysregulated, intrusive, disturbing, & ask something of others, even if just to empathize. Abusers do not & want your peace preserved by you ignoring victims.
Victims of abuse usually end up not being likable after they escape the abuse, or are still in it because trauma makes you unlikable, it makes you mentally unstable. It is TRUAMA. Being a long term abuser makes it easier for the abuser to appear “normal”. They know the game, they know how to pretend and appear “calm” while their victims look like “crashouts” due to the harm inflicted onto them. Idk why this is rocket science to people.

misogyny is actually so vile because why are you getting angry at the girl and not the epstein affiliated slug of a man that’s still continuing to prey on young women instead of spending the rest of his life in a cell.
FLAVIO BRIATORE IS OUT HERE WITH A WOMAN YOUNG ENOUGH TO BE HIS GRANDDAUGHTER.
BRO IS 76 AND STILL DATING LIKE HE'S 22.
LET'S BE FUCKING HONEST. IF HE WAS BROKE, WOULD SHE EVEN LOOK HIS WAY?

I don’t particularly care for her but I always found it pretty fucked that Dave Grohl and Krist Noveselic NEVER stood up for Courtney Love when accusations were made that she killed Kurt. They just let everyone drag her name through the mud and she just had to survive that too
