Amorim and Carrick were given two completely different jobs.
Amorim was brought in to implement a style of play - to reset habits, build structure, and change the identity of the team.
That takes time. It also costs points in the short term.
Carrick, on the other hand, is here for six months with one clear objective: get United into the Champions League. Nothing more. Nothing less.
Short-term coaching is about maximising points.
Long-term coaching is about building something sustainable.
That’s why Carrick can collect more points with the same players Amorim was rebuilding.
Amorim refused to take the easy route - sitting deep, playing safe, chasing quick fixes. He stuck to the process even when it hurt him.
Some fans look at the table.
Others look at the direction.
That’s the difference.

The last time Manchester United went 9 games without a win was November 1988!!
48 years ago.. This manager has broken every negative record there is in Manchester United's history and we're supposed to believe he can turn it around cause he's British? Lmao..

Amorim had 6 academy players on the bench in his last against Leeds because of injuries yet he was sacked for getting a draw, let’s keep giving excuses for our English brother.👍
🚨🗣️ @AndyMitten on why Michael Carrick is still in position as Manchester United head-coach:
"There’s a number of factors. Lack of obvious available replacements. There’s more patience with Michael Carrick given the mitigation with the injuries.
Another point is somebody said to me that the penny has finally dropped with a lot of the players. The reaction from the Stretford End on Sunday has stung some of these players."

Треба да му се даде шанса на Керик сепак ако остане до крај Јунајтед може да биде шампион, лани да почнеше од почеток и лани ќе беше шампион, му скратија на човекот back to back титула.
,, This is the greatest season ever, can’t wait for you guys to see what epic cooking up '' 😂
