Interesting read about the past, present and future of text, audio, and video media.
Also helpful to understand through this why X is a unique platform in it being primarily a text social platform.

Introducing "Train of Thoughts". 🚆
TOT is my new Interactive Scene. A train that travels forever through a procedural isometric city built in real-time 3D, but with a twist. 👁️
Each carriage holds a different relationship with time: "Past", "Present", or "Future" (plus the Motorman's Cabin). Inside, every character has a small story, a thought they’re carrying on the journey.
Everything is generated via code and rendered in real-time within the browser. Zero images or external assets used.
At a moment when AI can solve so much of the technical work, creativity matters more than ever.
The challenge for me remains the same: make something unique. 🫡
Made with gpt-astra (mostly, Sol for a few things), three.js + Anatomy.
A quick demo 👇

Notes should automatically remember where you wrote them and show up when you’re there again.
We built an app and widget that take you straight to your nearest note with a single tap from your Home Screen. Without you having to organise a thing.
That way, you can easily remember what to eat (or not to eat) at that one restaurant you haven’t been to in a while.
It’s called TypeDraw, and it’s available now. For any kind of iPhone.

Our brain may operate on the same principles as an LLM; what differs is the underlying hardware.

I think this door, and the state of it, and what it leads to, is a pretty apt metaphor for how the entire British academic world has failed to defend our humanities in this age of late Scientific capitalism.

This is an extraordinary advertisement because it's effectively spending 60 seconds to tell us how technology is ruining our lives.
Incidentally, it fails to point out that not only is French toast not toast, but Canadian bacon is not technically bacon.

What an incredible moment.
For 35 years, Asif Hasan has given children the chance to grow up, and families the chance to make memories they might otherwise never have had.
Seeing him surrounded by those whose lives he has changed says it all.
Thank you, Asif, for everything you've done. You represent the very best of our NHS.
World-leading cardiac surgeon Asif Hasan was surrounded by the children who received the gift of life thanks to his unerring skills at the emotional climax of another memorable Pride of Britain ceremony. 🥹
Now 70 years old, Mr Hasan has just retired after 35 years of service at the Freeman Hospital in Newcastle upon Tyne, but just after receiving his Lifetime Achievement Award, he had an extra special surprise: a cast of patients who would not be alive without him. ❤️

Why haven't you introduced similar measures for other forms of racism? 95% of black kids suffer racism in schools, so why are you treating antisemitism as a more serious form of racism? Why do these measures--from proscribing Palestine Action to banning kids from social media to sacking BBC stars for lack of neutrality--always favour Israel? This strongly looks like it's nothing to do with antisemitism and everything to do with killing solidarity with Palestine--and frankly it's disgusting.
