We’re building a world-class academic medical campus at The Point. Today, the state, the @UofUHealth, and the Point of the Mountain State Land Authority finalized an agreement for about 46 acres, creating the future home of a major new health care campus within Utah’s innovation community. This investment will expand access to nationally recognized care, strengthen Utah’s health care workforce, advance research, and create new opportunities for generations of Utahns.

For some reason, I have been thinking about this moment a lot today. It's from John McCain in 2008 at a town hall. The woman begins to espouse conspiracy theories about Barack Obama's nationality. He immediately shuts it down. "No ma'am. He's a decent family man."

This is significant. Getting kids on reading level early leads to positive academic outcomes including improved graduation rates from high school.

Just now at Utah GOP State Convention, Jenkins ends with roughly 57% and Maloy with 43%. We are headed to a primary! Celeste Maloy, you are tough as nails. Don’t back down to anyone, even a Senator! #utpol

Just a friendly reminder for gentlemen over 50 to get your PSA checked every year with an annual physical. I was diagnosed with prostate cancer at 52. Ladies, encourage your guy to be responsible with his health. Also, thank you @huntsmancancer. #utpol

Visited Zion National Park in her winter dress yesterday. I was struck with the contrast of dark and light in this scene. Symbolic of our life experiences--reminded me that it's the contrasts that bring both meaning and beauty to our life.

Mitt is right....again....and again...and again...
Mitt Romney: “I think the border is a very important issue for Donald Trump. And the fact that he would communicate to Republican senators and congresspeople that he doesn't want us to solve the border problem because he wants to blame Biden for it is is really appalling."

At the cabin this morning and woke to find light snow having dusted the pines. At this Thanksgiving time, I'm feeling grateful for the "moisture" we have received. Every little bit helps. #Blessings

I've never met Jack Smith, but as a former prosecutor I have to say I really like his style. We should never forget that our Republic is built upon adherence to the Rule of Law. No man is above the law. Period.
Jack Smith sat in stone-cold silence as Trump lawyers pleaded with him not to indict: book msn.com/en-us/news/politics/… "As Lauro spoke, the prosecutors took notes, but they said nothing," Karl reports. "Smith waited until Lauro was done speaking and then, without commenting on what he just heard, he bid the Trump lawyers farewell. According to sources with direct knowledge of the meeting, Smith did not ask a single question. And aside from the pleasantries at the start of the meeting (including the offer of a glass of water) and the goodbye at the end, neither Smith nor the two prosecutors said anything at all.” .Just four hours later, Smith and his team would slap Trump with criminal charges related to his efforts to obstruct the United States government from retrieving top-secret government documents from his Mar-a-Lago resort, and charges related to his efforts to overturn the 2020 election would come less than a week later.
