What he said
Abdul El-Sayed on Canada: Canadians are nice people. They're the only people who preemptively apologize. You meet them and they're like, "Sorry." You're like, "For what?" They're like, "For whatever I'm going to do that's going to offend you." If you're picking a tariff war with Canada, you're the asshole.

Gee the first thing I noticed was cops with long guns in a fucking retail store but ok
I had an opportunity to spend a week in the U.S., and I made a few observations. We often hear Canadians proudly say, “We’re not like Americans.” But I’m curious about what we mean by that, and why we assume it is something to congratulate ourselves about. The first thing I noticed was pride in their country. American flags everywhere! A sense that loving your country does not depend on who happens to be in power. In Canada, we have seen the flag treated as controversial one moment and encouraged the next. Apparently, we need to check the political mood before deciding whether we can proudly fly our own flag. If we need permission to show pride in our country, what else have we learned to ask permission for? So if pride in their country is one of the things that makes Americans different, that’s something I would welcome more of here. I also noticed more personal autonomy and confidence. People seemed comfortable making their own decisions and standing behind their beliefs. Political disagreements? Plenty. But nobody I spoke with seemed to need permission to have an opinion. When did walking on eggshells become a Canadian virtue? If Americans are more comfortable speaking their minds, why would we pride ourselves on being different? There also seemed to be less expectation that government should have an answer for everything. People help themselves, help their neighbours and take responsibility for what comes next, without assuming government will step in and sort it all out. Is that really something we want to distance ourselves from? Independence and personal responsibility sound good to me. Taken all together, what I noticed was less fear. More willingness to try something, take a chance and live with some uncertainty. A confidence that you can figure things out as you go, even when you have to. Are these qualities we should distance ourselves from? I want Canadians to be informed, prepared and confident in their own judgment. Ask questions. Understand the risks. Take chances. Succeed. Fail. Learn and grow. But for goodness’ sake, LIVE. We cannot let fear make every decision for us and expect government to fix everything. So tell me: why is it so important to keep announcing that “we’re not like Americans”? What exactly are we congratulating ourselves on? Give me something more than “we’re nicer.” When people are smeared, labelled and pushed out for expressing different views about this country, can we really say that with a straight face? Besides, I met some pretty nice people down there too.

If you arrest someone without enough evidence and fuck it up badly they’re going to switch up. Someone just saying hey I think this guy is a pedo isn’t enough for police.
This could have happened 7 years ago if all those who were specifically warned he was an alleged paedophile had acted on the information. Instead they all did nothing, leaving him to allegedly keep offending. Why the silence?

El-Sayeds fru, Sarah Jukaku, är läkare med examen från Columbia, master från Oxford och kandidatexamen från Michigan. Hon arbetar som psykiater. Att reducera henne till hennes hijab är i sig en förminskande kvinnosyn.
Abdul El-Sayed visar biceps i tight tisha. Bredvid står frun täckt i hijab. Att den kvinnosynen normaliseras i amerikansk politik gör mig mörkrädd. USA rör sig bakåt i rasande takt och folk jublar. Total naivitet.

I was told during the Clancy trial that men would never rally around disgusting criminals and then reality happened
If you think someone is a "slut," this does not mean you can do things like fuck them in the ass without asking...much less after they say "no."

After being convicted of rape and sexual assault today, do you think Russell Brand is still gonna make this MAHA Action session next week with Cheryl Hines, Sen. Rand Paul, Dr. Oz, the Food Babe, Calley Means, and Dr. Drew? #MeaslesAreHereAgain #MAHA

“If I go missing or disappear, it was not of my own free will. If I turn up dead, it was not by my own hand.” A Canadian woman has posted a terrifying public warning about a man she identifies as James Scott Stewart. She alleges that in January 2026, while she was 40 weeks pregnant, Stewart brutally beat her, strangled her nearly to death, and forced castor oil down her throat. She says she survived because the RCMP intervened. Now, according to her account, a judge has decided Stewart will be safer on probation than behind bars. She says he will be free again in six weeks. She also claims this is the eighth time the justice system has failed to protect her and her children. And perhaps the most disturbing part of her message is that she is publicly identifying the person she fears will kill her. This woman is telling the world she is afraid she won’t be alive in six weeks. Her allegations and the court’s decision deserve immediate scrutiny. I share about missing women all of the time. When do we start preventing this before it actually happens? This woman is begging for help. She knows he is coming for her.

This is part of the issue men widely don’t understand consent under the law.
So I read Russell Brand’s memoir years ago…he’s a cad, a rogue, a lascivious drunk who lurched from one broken relationship to the next… Anyone who spent five minutes with him could see he was an drugged out egotist that would bring down anyone who got close… But you can’t have a real legal system if 17 years after the fact Brand can be found guilty of sexual assault bc a woman came forward and claimed that though she willingly had a threesome with Brand and later showed up at his house to have sex…well she didn’t appreciate all the places his junk went…
