Good morning, Kabanda (Intellectual Jaundice).
His original rank of Colonel was indeed honorary along with his mates for reasons which I am not at liberty to discuss. That is a matter of historical record, not a revelation. However, an honorary appointment in the early NRA must not be confused with an absence of military service, training or subsequent formal promotion.
For perspective, Eriya Kategaya held service number RO/00002, while Kahinda Otafiire holds RO/00014, placing him among the earliest recorded NRA serving officers. What do you have fuck face ?
In 1991, Otafiire undertook a standardised officers’ course covering the progression from Platoon,Company, Battalion, Brigade command to Division command, alongside officers including Col. Tom Butiime, Col. Amanya Mushega and Lt.Gen. Henry Tumukunde and others that have passed on. The relevant military training records can establish the precise qualifications.
Otafiire’s military service predates the NRA. During Idi Amin’s dictatorship, he participated in clandestine mobilisation and recruitment for FRONASA, helping recruit men such as the late Maj. Gen. Fred Rwigyema, Maj.General Chef Ali Gen. Ivan Koreta. He was among the early FRONASA .
He subsequently participated in the 1978–79 liberation struggle against Idi Amin and joined the NRA in 1981, serving as Chief Political Commissar during the Bush War. He served as the Director General of ESO from 1992-1994. Between 1998 and 2001, he served as political head of Uganda’s military expedition into the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Finally, President Museveni, acting as Commander-in-Chief on the advice of the Army Commissions Board, formally promoted Otafiire from Colonel to Major General upon his retirement to join politics. This was an official military promotion, not merely the continued use of an honorary title.
Nota Bene: Find an interpreter to make you understand the above facts, like a 5 year old infant . Not because you are a civilian but because you are dangerously dense.

"Chairman, a country without reserves is not sovereign. The potential of this Bill to destabilize Uganda’s balance of payments is our primary concern as a central bank. For example, last financial year the overall balance of payment surplus was USD 1.5 billion. That’s how we were able to increase our reserve coverage by USD 1.5 billion. Today as we speak our reserves are close to USD 6 billion. Why? Because these inflows have been coming in. The moment you tamper with these inflows here, we risk running down our reserves, and that is economic disaster for a country.” Governor Atingi-Ego on the Protection of Sovereignty Bill 2026 in an appearance before Parliament today.

The saddest thing about traveling the world is that sinking feeling you get when you realize you’re never going to experience all those nice things abroad in your own country in your lifetime

This is to thank @mkainerugaba in a special way for his guidance at every stage during the negotiations with countries that have ebola related travel advisories in place. Our thanks go to those countries that have lifted travel advisories which include United Arab Emirates, India, Mauritius and Thailand. We continue to actively talk to countries that still maintain travel advisories to consider lifting them.

Andrew — this is low and unnecessary.
Why does it matter if he used Ai to structure his response to you. Clearly the ideas and thinking were his— engage with what he said or choose not to. But don’t try to discredit him but insinuating he is not a thinker. And do you really want to take a position in this day and age that any use of Ai does not deserve a response or be taken seriously? Do you live under a cave?
Yesterday two people @TumukundeTT and @brunolukyamuzi4 posted very good responses to my post and I promised to reply to them. But first I checked whether the responses were written by them them as humans or they used AI to generate the responses. These 👇🏾👇🏾are the findings. I prefer to respond to humans, not AI. So I won’t! Please don’t try to fake being intelligent online by using AI. Be yourself.

The Phaneroo people landed on my Tweet castigating the other lady who claimed their pastor healed an HIV/AIDS patient and now my mentions are blowing up with Bible verses.
People need to appreciate that there is a fundamental risk of tweeting such stuff. In the 90s when the HIV/AIDS scourge was ravaging the population, one of the problems Ministry of Health fought against was Pastors & traditional healers who constantly claimed they cured the disease.
Many people lost their lives because they believed they’d been cured by their pastors and therefore they went off medication. To this day, we lose people simply because they replace taking meds with prayer and fasting.
It’s very dangerous to create the impression that your pastor cured a patient because what you’re communicating to other patients is that they don’t need to take medication, they just need to locate your pastor.
Therein lies the problem.
If you’re an HIV/AIDS patient, it’s okay to have your pastor lay hands on you but please, do not under any circumstances stop taking medication.
As of now, there is no known cure for HIV/AIDS. However, the virus can be fully managed through medication, lifestyle change & discipline. Short of that, you’re at risk of the disease spreading through the body & wiping out immunity hence leading to death.
Phaneroo people & their pastor are going to undo decades of hardwork put in by many people to teach the population about how to manage HIV/AIDS.
Believe in your God, worship him, hold hands and sing Kumbaya, but please do not spread falsehoods about HIV/AIDs. It is still a dangerous disease & must be treated as such.

Mailo land is only in Buganda region.
How does it affect public infrastructure projects in other parts of the country?
Minister Margaret Muhanga has called for the abolition of Uganda's Mailo land system, arguing that it creates challenges for public infrastructure projects. MPs have cautioned that any changes to land ownership must be handled carefully.
