Cómo me imagino a mí mismo dentro de la historia cada vez que leo un libro.

Meanwhile your thread on BookX got me this and it’s a very fascinating read/listen The kid is the voice actor in Audible which is extra powerful considering the story is about taking his voice back. Absolute power

Thank you. I don’t know why, but today was one of the best days for our little family business, Humming Meadow. There were no sales or promotions, but you said “I need a candle. I need a shawl. A mug sounds good.” Thank you for your outrageous kindness.

My wife and I decided to get a divorce. There were no fights, just two adults who realised they drifted apart from each other. This is probably the hardest thing I had to go through. First of all, telling our girls...seeing them so sad was heartbreaking. But we are still a team as parents and will do everything for them! Also we have to sell our house, the house I wanted to live in forever and raise my kids in... Going back to a smaller appartment will be rough. I still have a lot of to handle, that's why I wasn't active here on X. I'm really grateful for all the people who reached out and asked where I was 🙏🏼 This women will always be a part of my life, she gifted me with two perfect daughters. I wish her all the best, great memories were made in those years! I'll be back soon. Thank you everyone 🙏🏼

The single must impactful move you can make for your children's future is to love your spouse. You're drifting apart? Stop drifting and start intentionally stepping towards one another. Your marriage is the core of the planet your kids live on. Act like it.

Some things are worth it. I feel sorry for folks who don’t love anything enough to know it.

How does this even happen? Her gentle and elderly Great Dane was mauled and killed in the lobby of a damn hotel in Anchorage. The dog who attacked him was not put down. What are we doing here?

Honestly I think people should be publicly shamed for sharing graphic videos of a person dying. This is just not normal behaviour.

This incident aside, I think there’s a trend generally toward the devaluation of human life. Some people are getting way too callous about whether other people deserve to live or die, and it bothers me.

In 1947, during the Chinese Civil War, 32 women from a small village learned that an advancing army needed to cross a river to reach the battlefield. They tore the wooden doors off their homes, carried them into the freezing water, and stood there for hours holding them up to form a human bridge while approximately 2,000 soldiers crossed with all their equipment. Without their help, the soldiers would have had to wade through the river and enter battle in soaking wet clothes, risking hypothermia, sickness and death. Historical accounts describe soldiers being so moved by the women’s sacrifice that they initially hesitated to step onto the bridge. The women urged them forward. The soldiers understood what these women were sacrificing for them. There’s a lesson here about the gender war. When men and women are united by a common struggle, they develop a profoundly deep love and respect for one another. I think we need that again. 女子火线桥

These people are American heroes. Full stop. They’ve done more to “redistribute the wealth” than anybody in history and they did it voluntarily and giving to children. Patriots.

$6.25 billion. 25 million children. $250 each. Susan and I believe the smartest investment we can make is in children. That’s why we’re so excited to contribute $6.25 billion from our charitable funds to help 25 million children start building a strong financial foundation through Invest America. 💪📈🇺🇸 onedell.com/investamerica/

I got the outline done. It doesn’t look like much now but give it a few days. It’s gonna be awesome. @luinalaska I think I’m gonna do the sunglasses one too.

Millennials are not disappointed that their children’s Boomer grandparents are not triathlete level fit and up for manic high energy child-minding. We are grieving that they don’t actually want to be around our children.

I would agree to a plan to phase out social security over the next 25 years, even knowing that it means the system will end right at the moment when I would start drawing a check. If that means that my kids and grandchildren aren’t subjected to this scam for their entire lives, I’m willing to take that hit. I just can’t for the life of me understand or relate to the older people who don’t feel that way and wouldn’t be willing to make the sacrifice for the sake of their descendants. Totally foreign mentality to me. I truly find it baffling. Setting my kids up for the future is like one of the only things I care about anymore.
