Isn't it interesting, all these videos of people we've never heard of, whose work is unknown, with no public archive or commentary on any issue, SUDDENLY appearing at the same time to bitch about Islam and halal food. In South Africa? In 2026? In the year of a local government election, suddenly mainly Black influencers and bots with black faces are recording Islamophobic commentary. For a fee no doubt. Who benefits from this? I hope @GovernmentZA is REALLY sharpening its lens on disinformation and paid campaigns. Deliberate manufacturing of religious and tribal hostility is a matter of national importance.

1. There is no “halal replacement of food.” Halal certification of packaged food has been practised in South Africa for decades & is voluntary. All the “halal-certified” label means is that the food products meet Islamic dietary requirements. Nothing is added to the food.

National importance 💔🇿🇦‼️ THIS IS WHAT WE AS WOMEN HAVE TO BE SUBJECTED TO!!! All because i didn't want to give him show and allow him to pass me Tries to knock me, drives infront of me like a maniac and then dead breaks multiple times while my 1 year old baby was in the car with me I then made the decision to drive much slower behind him, obviously he saw that im a woman alone he then stops on the bridge to wait for me not caring about all the other cars behind me aswell, causes traffic to threaten to kill me with my 1 year old baby in the car. I had to make a split second decision on whether to take a video or whether to call my husband and I unfortunately knew that my husband wouldn't make it quick enough to me and I had to take a video for safety instead, can you imagine a decision of a video as safety over a phonecall to a loved one. THIS HAS BECOME OUR LIVES Question is do these type of men do this when there is another man present? And we then make the time to go to the police station to open up cases and then what actually comes from it? I stay only 1,3km from the coffee shop l was driving home from, can you imagine such a short distance from home for mine and my babys life to be in danger! WE AS WOMEN ARE TIRED OF NOT FEELING SAFE ENOUGH TO SIMPLY JUST LIVE! @SAPoliceService @AthlendaM @SA_Taxis

You’d have to be a special kind of stupid to bomb a school full of children in Iran, kidnapped a head of state in Venezuela, assassinated a head of state in Iran, supported a genocide in Gaza and Lebanon, began a genocide in Cuba, and still expect to win the Nobel Peace Prize.

Navi Pillay is a South African, Harvard-educated lawyer and human rights activist who joined the case against apartheid in 1967. She was the first non-white woman to open her own practice there. She ran a shelter for abused women, and founded Equality Now. They arrested and tortured her husband in retaliation for her work. In 1995, Mandela nominated her to the UN security council judgeship, where she oversaw the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda. She decided the case that made rape a war crime, stating "From time immemorial, rape has been regarded as spoils of war. Now it will be considered a war crime. We want to send out a strong signal that rape is no longer a trophy of war." She also served on the case against Ferdinand Nahimana, which charged media organizations for their role in "spreading hate propaganda that amounted to public incitement to commit genocide." She's worked on issues of genocide for more than 30 years, and was appointed UN High Commissioner for Human Rights in 2008. She's currently a judge on the Rohingya genocide case (Gambia v. Myanmar). She has single-handedly shaped international law. It'd be difficult to find someone more worthy.

One of the ICC judges was just awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. The timing of these sanctions are purely a coincidence.
Today, the Trump Administration is sanctioning the ICC. This action should encourage our Allies within the Court to work for solutions to end this threat to U.S. sovereignty forever.

2026 Nobel Peace Prize laureate Navi Pillay’s commitment to universal legal principles and her firm moral compass are constants in a long career. Born into a family of Indian Tamil origin under apartheid in Durban, South Africa, Pillay became a lawyer and legal pioneer, confronting deep structural discrimination, segregation and exclusion. A common thread runs from her early work defending Nelson Mandela and others who stood up against apartheid to her service as a judge in some of the key international court cases of our time. This year’s laureate has significantly enlarged the scope and impact of international law. She has served as a judge on the High Court in South Africa, the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda and the International Criminal Court. She was the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights and, until recently, she chaired the UN Independent International Commission of Inquiry on the Occupied Palestinian Territory. Today Navi Pillay is a judge on the International Court of Justice in the case where Myanmar stands accused of genocide. In historic international court cases, she has shown that legal measures can help prevent acts of war and violence. Navi Pillay has also contributed to strengthen the institutions of international law. Her independence, expertise and steadfastness have made her one of the most respected international jurists of our time. On a serious note, there should be management meetings in all big companies today discussing how to alleviate the effects of the fuel price increase for employees. Unless you’re able to pay your staff more, you need to, where possible, offer solutions.

Corruption raids the cookie jar of future generations. Its consequences are often unseen: it destroys opportunities, discourages investment, drives away talent and, ultimately, and like apartheid, undermines human potential. Joe Dlamini is a young South African innovator and technology entrepreneur. After years of hard work, he develops an innovative platform that requires access to spectrum regulated by the Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (ICASA). Joe applies for the necessary spectrum. His application is delayed. His overseas investors become increasingly impatient. Eventually, Joe learns that a politically connected individual expects to receive shares in his company in exchange for ensuring that the spectrum is made available. Joe discusses the situation with his investors. They advise him to leave South Africa. He does so, taking his invention, his company and his investors with him. The immediate loss to South Africa is not simply the value of the bribe or the shares demanded. The far greater loss is what is known as the loss of opportunities. Joe might have created jobs, trained young South Africans, attracted foreign investment, generated tax revenue and developed further innovations. His company might have grown into a significant South African technology enterprise. Other entrepreneurs might have built businesses around his platform. Corruption is a crime against human potential.
