John Goodman says there’s only one Tom Cruise, but it feels like 3 or 4 people.
“He was a spark plug. He kept me going and was a cheerleader on set. Aren’t we lucky to be here doing this? And yeah, we are, even though I’m tired.”
Goodman also recalls meeting Cruise over 30 years ago at Bruce Willis’s house, and was shocked that Cruise remembered him.
"The only time I'd met him before was 30-something years ago at a party at Bruce Willis's house in Malibu. I didn't fit in. I just felt out of place, but he remembers saying hi to me 30-something years ago. There's no way you remember that."
“He acts like there’s three or four of them, but there’s only one of them. I don’t know how he does it. It’s amazing to watch.”

John Goodman opened up about how the negative reviews for Digger HURT him, saying critics practically KILLED the movie before it even opened, but he still hopes it finds an audience over time like The Big Lebowski and Speed Racer 👀
“Yeah, it hurt. They kind of killed us before we opened. ‘This will only make $5,’ and it’s a good reason for people to avoid it. I’m proud of it, and I had a ball doing it.”

"We connected immediately. We were feeling the same, and he laughed in the moments that he has to laugh. And so I was very pleased that he got it from the first moment."
I wish we had a video of their first script reading together. Just imagine Tom having so much fun listening to Alejandro read the script like a 8-year-old kid! ☺️
