The quality of current LLMs for creating presentations is still remarkably poor. I don’t know what they were trained on, but the output is full of slogans, clichés, repetition, emphasis, and “not X, but Y” constructions. The graphics are also terrible: convoluted, cluttered, and full of inappropriate and unnecessary icons. Not to mention that the presentations all end up looking the same. LLMs can be useful if you lack the time or motivation to do the work yourself, but the audience notices. In the end, you may save time at the expense of your reputation and personal identity.

In calcified nodules morphology influences hemodynamics 🌊
Eruptive calcified nodules generate significantly higher velocities and greater shear stress heterogeneity than non-eruptive nodules. This may lead to higher platelet activation in eruptive nodules
Great collaboration @PoliTOnews and @crfheart
Not all calcified nodules are alike.
Patient-specific CCTA-, OCT- and CFD-based modelling revealed greater flow disturbances and shear heterogeneity in eruptive versus non-eruptive calcified nodules, providing new mechanistic insights into plaque instability.

Debunking debulking
DUAL-PREP OCT by Sotomi and colleagues highlights one of the oldest assumptions in complex PCI. Atherectomy produces remarkably little visible calcium fracture and removes relatively little calcium. So what is its principal role if not debulking. Mechanical priming? PREPing calcium for fracture and expansion?

Great. So everything I taught my students about heart failure this year is officially obsolete. Just when I’d mastered saying HFrEF, HFmrEF, and HFpEF without spraining my tongue, here comes the next wave: Pre-HF, remHF, recHF, impHF. Looking forward to HFxyz next year. ahajournals.org/doi/10.1161/…

Finally, a sham-controlled CTO PCI trial—and it delivers. ORBITA-CTO: small (n=50), but rigor where it matters—blinding, placebo control, symptom-level data. CTO PCI improves angina beyond placebo, with a clear reduction in episodes and more angina-free days. Not prognosis, not hard endpoints, but real symptom benefit—properly measured. #acc26
