In the past "cool kids ministry" looked down on @Awana Clubs as "old fashion." Fast forward to today & parents r getting kids out of screens & into tactile experiences where kids memorize the Bible & play games. Suddenly Awana U.S. is cool again & we grew by 81,000 kids in 2025.
Smoking my first brisket today. 8.2 Lbs. I don’t know what I’m doing (apart from a couple of YouTube videos). But I’ll keep you posted.
As a 12 year old child, during the summer, I walked the bean fields and cut down weeds in the beating, hot, 90 degree, July, Indiana heat.
This taught me toughness, resiliency, hard work and gratitude.
I wonder how many parents would let their 12 year old do this today?
Every time I use the @Dyson hand dryers my eyes read that as “Sloth.” I don’t think that’s what they are going for…but my brain picked that up every time.

Lots of people seem to think you shouldn’t tell your kids this. That this creates snowflakes.
I had an abusive biological father, so my mom (a young, 1st Gen Christian, doing her best) would tell me this sort of thing all the time. Had she not fed my mind with a vision, I’m not so sure I would have lifted my eyes to a better future.

The collapse of Reddit will be studied.
After reporting earnings, its stock collapsed 30% in a single day.
It's down 44% in 2 weeks.
But the most important detail is what was revealed in that earnings call.
The CEO said AI is killing Google search.
People no longer get sent to Reddit from Google. They merely get their answers from the AI Mode itself.
Even Google confirmed this themselves with their disastrous results - AI mode is cannibalising their search business.
Pretty soon, no one will visit Reddit voluntarily. Its traffic will continue to crater.
The worst part?
Reddit isn't alone. There are millions of companies and publishers that rely on search traffic.
That's what happens when you rely on a single funnel for discovery.
