The Stanford vaccine algorithm failed to prioritize housestaff. We @StanfordDeptMed faculty stand with @StanfordMedRes. Except for the high-risk, #StanDOM faculty, division chiefs and @HeartBobH have volunteered to wait until all housestaff have been vaccinated. #HousestaffFirst

Awesome, Joy!
The Wu lab is getting fancy new digs in the former Theranos building. A building with a regrettable history, but hopefully the @StanfordDeptMed @StanfordPeds @StanfordRad labs moving in will now put the space to good use.

And in society journals too! Publishing in society journals keeps the money in science. Societies run meetings, provide scholarships and hold fields together. Scientists should consider this when choosing a journal. mbio.asm.org/content/8/5/e01…
Interestingly, ALL early papers on HIF and its role on O2 sensing by @NobelPrize Semenza and colleagues were published in non-glamour society journals, including JBC and Molecular and Cellular Biology jbc.org/content/270/3/1230.s… mcb.asm.org/content/12/12/54… mcb.asm.org/content/16/9/460…
