ALT A notes list of workplaces that offer WFH, aren’t evil and are disability friendly. Liberty mutual (competitive pay for customer service) - Farmers Insurance (good benefits, donates to autism speaks) - Cloud4Good (good internships for tech starters) -Liveops (not great starting wages but flexible and decent culture) -CVS (socially bad, not a weapons dealer, high wages for WFH comparatively) -Progressive (check reviews, some have OT requirements but w prior experience you can leverage a better deal) - customer service + billing at most hospitals

ALT FMLA: this is not legal advice. If your workplace meets the requirements in the following screenshots they must offer FMLA. FMLA is unpaid leave (however most companies have short term disability insurance you file for) FMLA has a low threshold for qualification in comparison to disability insurance. You will need to supply disclosure of a MEDICAL CONDITION a and work with your doctor to decide how much they will disclose in their letter that they send once you apply. You do not have to provide pages and pages of records., usually a diagnosis is sufficient

ALT FMLA can be dispersed in two ways: as a chunk of continuous time or as a bank of time. This means you can apply for up to 12 weeks straight or a bank which you use throughout the year. The exact amount will be decided by your doctor (and if they're a good doctor in conversation with you about what you need). Short term disability is what gets you paid when you use this leave. Short term disability will almost definitely require multiple things: doctors notes going back years, therapy notes going back years, and you'll have to supply them if you want to get paid. If you do not want to disclose this much information you can opt not to apply for STD but that means you likely won't be paid for your time off. I highly recommend speaking to a disability lawyer if possible on details - most websites of disability lawyers will offer some basic info that's better than what I can. But if you're apply for STD be prepared to be dragged through the mud by your claims officer
