A little island

What happens when an island keeps growing, but its resources don’t? A little data visualization experiment exploring Ibiza’s evolution over the past 25 years. Population, tourism, money, water, waste, and natural resources. More visitors. More revenue. More pressure. But is growth always progress? One thing I love about AI right now is how easy it’s becoming to build your own tools. Needed a live ETH gas notifier. So I built one. No massive product roadmap. Just solving small problems, one tool at a time.

Been building small tools for things I find useful. First one: an ETH gas tracker with price notifications. More widgets coming soon. Exploring how far I can take building my own tools with AI. What other crypto tools would be worth building? #Ethereum #ETH

We’re entering the era of the personal software stack. Why keep searching for the perfect tool when you can just build it? Been experimenting with Claude Opus 5.5 and created my own ETH gas tracker using real-time blockchain data.

How do you make data visualisation actually fun? Not just charts you look at, but data you want to explore, play with and get curious about. So… have you ever wondered how many people have died on Everest? I turned that question into a little experiment

What happens when an influence finds its way back to its source? Pat McGrath has long drawn inspiration from Dalí and surrealism. So I put her MatteTrance lipsticks inside Dalí’s Mae West Room. Not as a collaboration. As an experiment

Just experimenting. A small unofficial @Cartier Juste un Clou interaction study: pull the nail, break the wall, reveal the bracelet. A few learnings: - interaction feels stronger when it carries the concept - resistance + timing matter more than flashy effects - 3D works best when it has a reason to exist - the smallest transitions take the most tweaking Still rough. Still learning. That’s the point.

New material tests for The Thinker thanks to Chatgtp Astra. What if a texture didn't just look different, but behaved differently too? Jelly: touch it, deform it, watch it wobble. Oxidised copper: interact with it and slowly polish the surface. Same sculpture. Different behaviour. Still rough. Still experimenting.

What if The Thinker could feel your touch? What if you could alter a masterpiece with your own doing? I’ve been messing around with ChatGPT Astra to turn Rodin’s sculpture into an interactive experiment. Not just a render: clay that remembers, copper that polishes under pressure, jelly that bounces back (inspired by @scottstts). Still needs polish. But this is fun.

EXPERIMENT 02: GUCCI BY DEMNA This one took 2 hours. This time I wanted to play with world-building. Gucci created two amazing digital worlds around Demna's marvelous collections: La Famiglia Primavera Two collections. Two completely different visual languages. Two separate experiences. So I wondered: What if they were part of the same world?
