What have President Donald Trump & Republicans really done for the benefit of the average American family / the average American? That's what Americans must take into account when voting.

Hi, I'm free. Beat up but fine. Police stole my phone. Settlers punched me in the face several times, likely broke @AdeleShoko's wrist and gave @the_andrey_x a concussion. They threatened to shoot us with an assault rifle over and over. Will tell the full story later, but for now, I just want to be clear about what happened. We witnessed two settlers locking a military gate in Umm al-Khair, blocking the only way to more than twenty Palestinian communities: trapping families inside, preventing students from reaching school and workers from their jobs, blocking delivery of food and access to ambulances, etc. It's a crime that the military has this ability at all--but last night, we discovered that random settler terrorists also have the key. We confronted them and began asking questions on camera, and they nearly murdered us for it. When the police finally arrived, they arrested Andrey and me and charged us with assault. The gate is still locked.

Además, violaron a varias mujeres...

I have just won the first legal case in my journey to reclaim my life. Over the past three years I have paid a heavy price, away from the media spotlight—one that cost me my freedom, my safety, my voice, my career, my financial rights, and everything I built over 12 years—simply because I stood up at the UN and said, "Stop the genocide against our people in Gaza and Lebanon"—at a time when no one else dared to utter a single word. To give you a small example: I have been living away from my family for nearly a year, moving between three different residences and using three different vehicles, while adhering to numerous additional security measures recommended by the authorities. Although my voice has been censored here—simply because they do not want you to know what they have done to me through your own governments—if you were to learn what they are capable of doing to me, you would realize that they could do the very same thing to you as well. Your awakening would cost them their hegemony. Amidst all of this, I want to celebrate this victory—even if only with one of you. And I promise that the time will come to reveal everything and expose everyone.

BREAKING: NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani arrived in a GARBAGE TRUCK to install Brooklyn’s first Empire Bins, launching more than 700 sealed, rat-resistant trash containers to replace mountains of garbage bags on sidewalks across Downtown Brooklyn, DUMBO, Fort Greene, and surrounding neighborhoods. Another 1,100 bins are already operating in West Harlem, with six additional districts scheduled for 2027 and a citywide rollout targeted for 2031. For decades, New Yorkers have navigated sidewalks overflowing with garbage while rats feasted on exposed trash. This is what addressing an everyday quality-of-life problem looks like: changing the infrastructure that allowed it to persist in the first place.

The French government has launched an investigation after it was accused of breaching its own pledge not to sell arms to Israel. The revelations, first reported by French leftwing news website L’Humanitie, call into question French President Emmanuel Macron’s 2024 claims that the country does not supply arms to Israel. Collated by Urgence Palestine and Palestinian Youth Movement the damning report contains evidence of 35 new military equipment sales from French companies to Israeli arms manufacturer Elbit Systems between May and September 2026. The sales include parts likely to be used for cooling systems in tanks, helmet visors for helicopter and fighter jet pilots and components for drones. Lawmaker Thomas Portes, from the leftwing France Unbowed party, accused the French government of failing to act and urged foreign affairs minister Jean-Noël Barrot to comment on the accusations in the report. During a debate in the National Assembly earlier this month, Barrot announced that “an investigation has been launched” and pledged that "precautionary measures have been taken pending the findings." Thomas Nayla, a lawyer working with Urgence Palestine told Novara Media the announcement was “an admission of French complicity” and called for transparency. “Against whom are the investigations directed, and will the French state acknowledge that it does indeed export arms?” he added. During October 50 organisations have been taking part in a month-long series of actions against French complicity in genocide. Earlier this month unions and NGOs prevented a shipment of military components being loaded onto a number of planes destined for Israel by filing for an injunction, citing French restrictions on arms exports to Israel. “This victory demonstrates one thing: when workers organise and mobilise, they can effectively prevent companies from contributing to the arming of a genocidal war,” Tayeb Khouira, National Secretary of French trade union group Union Syndicale Solidaires, told Novara Media. “We have shown that we are not condemned to stand by and watch what is happening in Palestine without taking action.”

Our country should never be a hiding place for the powerful running from accountability. Flavio Bolsonaro lost Brazil's presidential election on Sunday by more than four million votes. A day later, Brazilian authorities ordered him to surrender his passports in a money laundering investigation. Instead, he slipped across the border and flew to Miami on a private jet arranged by the Trump administration, reportedly at Trump’s own direction, with a fast-tracked green card coming soon. This is a disgrace. Millions of families wait years, some for decades, to follow the rules and earn a green card. Handing Trump’s political ally a shortcut around his own country's courts is morally bankrupt. Congress needs answers. Who ordered this and what was promised in return? nytimes.com/2026/10/29/world…

I can hardly imagine anyone who hasn’t seen this photograph. But it was taken on this day in 2000. I cannot believe the photo is 26 years old now. The boy in the photograph was Fares Odeh. He was just 14 years old. Ten days after this image was captured, Fares went out again to throw stones at Israeli tanks, seeking to avenge the killing of his 17-year-old cousin. An Israeli sniper shot him in the neck, killing him. And there is another chilling detail to this photograph. The photo changed Israeli tank doctrine. In August 2001, The Jerusalem Post quoted an anonymous tank doctrinist saying tank personnel were now instructed to fire upon rock-throwers.

Cuba has a higher literacy rate than the United States. It has a longer life expectancy than many countries far wealthier than it. It produced a medical system capable of sending doctors to dozens of countries, including some that sanctioned it. It did all of this under 66 years of economic blockade. Now imagine what it might have built without the blockade. The people who imposed the blockade have imagined this too. That is why the blockade continued for 66 years. Not because Cuba was failing. Because Cuba was, in specific and inconvenient ways, succeeding. And a Cuba that succeeded under its own system was more dangerous to the argument than a Cuba that failed. The blockade was not punishment for failure. It was prevention of success.
