Want more consistency in your sport? Set intentions, not just goals.
They keep you focused, confident, and calm — even when things get messy.
Simple. Controllable. Game-changing!
Consistency beats perfection.
It’s not about doing it perfectly every time — it’s about showing up again and again, even when it’s not ideal.
Perfection feels powerful in the moment — but consistency wins the long game.
Show up. Stay steady. Success will follow.
The Power of Visualization—when you see yourself performing a skill, your brain activates the same neural pathways as if you were physically doing it! Start mentally rehearsing your success!
Your warmup isn’t just physical—it’s mental.
The way you prepare your mind shapes the way you compete. 🧠💪
✅ Find your optimal intensity
✅ Step in with confidence
✅ Trust the work you’ve already put in
When body and mind are in sync, you’re unstoppable!
The path to success isn’t a straight line. It’s not just “Set a goal ➝ achieve it.” It’s setbacks, learning, failing, adjusting, & pushing through the tough days.
Every twist & turn is part of the journey. Trust the process, keep grinding, and let your resilience set you apart!

I think this is such an important clip for parents to watch and it was a big part of our podcast conversation with former NHL’ers Dustin Kohn and Nick Johnson who are now working in sport psychology with kids. As a parent, if your kid’s hockey career is the most important thing in YOUR life, what message does that send to your kid? If you are putting so much pressure on YOURSELF relating to your kid’s journey, what message does that send to your kid?
So impactful. Give this a listen.
A new season means new opportunities to grow!
✨ Reset your mindset
✨ Build on your preparation
✨ Focus on what you can control
Confidence comes from trusting your work.
Let this season be about progress, not perfection!
Success isn’t always loud or perfectly timed.
Sometimes it shows up in subtle moments of growth, effort, or resilience.
Trust your process. Reflect on how far you’ve come.
You’re usually doing better than you think!

Paul Maurice has preached “Enjoy your Day” to his team for the last two seasons.
“If you can’t enjoy this morning, what’s the point of this?” #StanleyCup
Thank you; I am humbled to receive this recognition. It is a testament to the process—embracing the highs and lows, the triumphs and setbacks, and using each experience as steps toward reaching a goal. Let’s continue to celebrate the process and efforts of our athletes!

“You guys impacted so many people this year in a positive way. All the joy you brought to people, all the kids that you helped. That’s what it’s all about. Yes, you would have loved a shiny trophy, but the impact you had on young women in this sport doesn’t get tarnished,” Lisa Bluder

As many athletes enter playoffs, remember to keep the focus on what you can control; it is wasted energy when we focus on things we can’t change (referees, opponents, coach’s decisions, etc). Put your energy into your strengths & you will have more success!

Coaches are in it for the WRONG reasons if they:
Demean/manipulate players
Are disrespectful
Place winning above all
Play faves
Don’t teach the game
Ignore injuries
Play head games
Talk behind players backs
Blame players for losses
Take credit for successes
Think it’s about them

Coaching is a service industry. How kids experience coaching does more good or more damage than most people can imagine. How coaches make kids feel impacts many areas of their lives: how they learn/grow, their perception of authority & in turn, their futures. Serve the kids well!
