People complaining about how complicated #MastodonSocial is sound not only stupid but willfully so. Like, they are putting effort into their ignorance and making their opposition to learning something new—written in simple English—an intrinsic part of their identity.
I signed up for Mastodon because some of my friends are signing up. Not sure exactly what I'll do there but you can find me at mstdn.social/@JoyceVance I'm the one with the chicken on my shoulder
Speaking of features Twitter doesn't have— here are some other perks of joining Mastodon!
✅Edit button
✅Server-custom emoticons
✅Auto-delete posts option
✅Extended notification bar (see image)
✅500 character limit
✅Advanced post filter system
✅Content warnings
& more!
Mastodon is not difficult-we do dozens of more complicated things daily. People are just deliberately, willfully stupid. If you don't understand Mastodon and complain about it, it means you don't want to understand it, and would rather complain.
For anyone wondering, Mastodon got over 70K sign-ups yesterday alone. Let's keep the momentum going! The "public square" of the web must not belong to any one person or corporation!
This is an insane take. All-nighters are so destructive to one's health and well-being. Employees should be supported, not praised for self-harm.

I fondly remember pulling all nighters with my team in the early days. It created such strong bonds and memories. It’s exhilarating to be part of something meaningful that takes every inch of you to achieve. Well done 👏🏻

How to Join Mastodon, the Ad-Free Social Network Billionaires Can't Buy dlvr.it/ScBG4Z
The number of people who switched over to #Mastodon in the last week alone has surpassed 230 thousand, along with many returning to old accounts bumping the network to over 655 thousand active users, highest it's ever been!
Why? 👉 nitter.gq/joinmastodon/status/15…
Replying to @joinmastodon
Why choose Mastodon? Because it's decentralized and open-source, it can't be sold and won't go bankrupt. It respects your privacy and gives control over the network to the people. It's a product on top of a protocol, the way Twitter should have been.
Once again, people should be checking out mastodon.social. There are a lot of good reasons to do so but, perhaps the best one lately is, as it's decentralized and therefore impossible to take over, can never be the property of a megalomaniac with delusions of grandeur.

So, @TheOnion filed an amicus brief before the Supreme Court in defense of parody under the First Amendment… and it’s exactly what you’d expect. supremecourt.gov/DocketPDF/2…
One of the most profound things I read in my original journey to ADHD diagnosis was what Dr. Ned Hallowell calls “the cough drop sign” in the book, Driven To Distraction.
I’d never felt more seen before reading this quote.
It comes from one of Hallowell’s ADHD patients:
I mean I'm 100% on board for more #Babylon5 but... The CW? Wouldn't it be better ... Almoat literally anywhere else?
The fate of the #Babylon5 pilot may be decided end of this month. Though much of @TheCW was bought by @NXSTMediaGroup the decision also rests heavily with @WarnerbrosTV. If fans want to show their support for B5 & let them know you want this to happen, now is the time #B5onCWin23
I think the worst part of this (along with literally everything else about it) is the "on demand" bit. As if women are jonesing for an abortion fix like cocaine, so they need Lindsey Graham to protect them from themselves.

To oppose this legislation takes you out of the mainstream of the world.
The Democrat desire for abortion on demand up until the moment of birth puts us in a club of seven that includes North Korea and China.
