The PM, HM, NSA, all BJP CMs, all BJP MPs and MLAs are completely totally silent on the murder of environment due to firecrackers on Diwali night, across many cities and metros of India. AQI > 1000 at countless places already. These chaps have left crores and crores of Indians to suffer and have chosen to dissociate themselves from the basic responsibility of clean air and public health. They are silent and in their own air-purified world. Safe. "Mere liye mare kya? Jo uchit samjho woh karo."

Thought-provoking, perhaps controversial, and certainly worth reading! "The Evolution of Central Banking: Theory and History" by Stefano Ugolini. link.amazon/B04FlgZPt "This book is the first complete survey of the evolution of monetary institutions and practices in Western countries from the Middle Ages to today. It radically rethinks previous attempts at a history of monetary institutions by avoiding institutional approach and shifting the focus away from the Anglo-American experience. Previous histories have been hamstrung by the linear, teleological assessment of the evolution of central banks. Free from such assumptions, Ugolini’s work offers bankers and policymakers valuable and profound insights into their institutions." link.amazon/B04FlgZPt

10th anniversary of infamous demonetisation that broke the backbone of Indian economy but failed to meet any of the declared objectives. Has any one been held accountable to date for the disaster/scam?

This isn't an unfortunate incident. It's a preventable death. @myogiadityanath @BJP4UP, will you now go and take photos handing over a compensation cheque to the family?

A long time ago Rajiv and I realised that there was no point in trying to keep up with all that had been written about us. But, as I say in the book, there came a time when I felt that I should tell my own story. Read my interview: thehindu.com/news/national/s…
