There was a well-funded campaign against the EFF.
The DA and the EFF hold the same position on illegal immigration, yet the virulent campaign targeted the EFF.
Same idiots who attacked the EFF on this issue voted for the DA.
The issue was never about illegal immigration. It was about collapsing the EFF.
That campaign has failed dismally.

It’s not even about the manifesto because ActionSA has similar positions on immigration in its manifesto, yet people still voted for them.
People have been conditioned to hate the EFF. They will overlook contradictions, abandon their own interests and ignore policies that affect their livelihoods, as long as it means voting against the EFF.
At this point, some people aren’t voting for what will improve their lives. They’re just voting against a party they’ve been taught to hate.

BREAKING NEWS | Barely a day after Lt-Gen Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi cautioned police officers about being “comrades”, a sergeant has been removed from LGE duties in Donnybrook.
She allegedly arrived at a voting station in a vehicle branded with political party posters.
Her conduct is now under investigation.

When the EFF Nkomazi decided to embark on a night vigil to guard and patrol outside the area where ballots boxes are kept, many said the EFF is being reactionary.
Here are ballot boxes from Ward 29 Buffelspruit in Nkomazi found open with broken seals and sellotapes removed, clearly indicating that they were tempered with.
Fighters led by the Subregional Secretary who is also an MPLO discovered this in the early hours of today when the Area Managers were collecting ballot boxes for various other stations.
This is an indication that Elections in Nkomazi have never been Free and Fair under the IEC. The manipulation of elections outcome has always been something that IEC has been specialising on which over the years has undermined the will of the people.
The desperation by the Rulling Party to stay in power is alarming and has compromised the credibility of the electoral body that has found itself captured over the years.

President Kagame when US removed Rwanda from AGOA.
This is leadership!
The US to exclude Rwanda from AGOA once again.
In 2018, the US suspended Rwanda’s preferential trade benefits under AGOA. Why? Because Rwanda stood up for its local textile industry and challenged the importation of second-hand clothes from the US.
Rwanda called on fellow East African countries to reduce their reliance on imported second-hand clothing and focus instead on building local manufacturing capacity, creating jobs, and strengthening domestic industries.
The US opposed this policy and pressured Rwanda to reverse its position. While other EAC countries bowed to US pressure, Rwanda maintained its stance, arguing that Africa needed to build its own industrial capacity rather than remain dependent on imported used clothing.
The consequence was the suspension of Rwanda’s AGOA benefits in 2018.
Now, years later, Washington is once again moving toward excluding Rwanda, alongside South Africa, from AGOA.
My question: Is AGOA being used purely as a trade development programme, or is access to it increasingly influenced by political and diplomatic considerations?
