A little insight into the indoor hockey festival that our indoor hockey squad took part in. They worked tirelessly throughout, learning many key tactics and we can’t wait to see how the team get on in their next indoor event. 👏🏼

Congratulations to our u18 Rugby who came off as winners today after another brilliant performance. In particular they showed great composure with their handling of the ball and support play. 🌟

1-1 draw for our u16 squad who put in a great team performance tonight maintaining lots of the possession and an unbelievable level of work rate after taking part in the X-Country earlier today.

A brilliant first game for our First XI with many players making their debut for the squad. Amelie finished off a superb short corner strike from Chloe (C) and Cora was our player of the match.

This is how Baroness Cash's speech in the House of Lords debate on VAT and independent school fees ended:
"I support the call for a review into this policy. To add one last thing, I can reassure my noble friend, Lord Black that we will, and have pledged to, repeal this policy."

Good luck for tomorrow, Year 11!
GCSE results tomorrow are a big moment, but your grades are only one part of your story. They cannot measure the friendships you have made, the confidence you have gained, the challenges you have overcome or all the exciting possibilities still ahead.
Whatever is written on the page, be proud of how far you have come and the person you have become along the way.
We can’t wait to celebrate with you.
See you on the River Lawn and in the Orangery from 9am tomorrow for breakfast and results! ☀️

Rugby league legend opens refurbished school pavilion at former Ipswich school ift.tt/z69dCJy
What a week! Sharing the news about our National #Academic #Excellence #Award and being named as ‘Independant Day & Boarding School of the Year #Suffolk’ and yesterday opening our wonderful, historical pavilion after a long refurb entirely supported by charitable donations and local companies generosity. I am so grateful to @martinoffiah for coming back to his old school to cut the ribbon and kick a few balls for our pupils. Also to Carole Perks, who was a long serving PE teacher here for 30 years. What a special community we have at Ipswich High School 🙏#IndependantSchool #proud #Boarding #Boardingschool #Rugby @IpswichHigh

We are delighted to share that Ipswich High School has been named “Independent Day and Boarding School of the Year - Suffolk” and has also received the National Award for “Academic Excellence 2026”.
This double recognition celebrates the hard work, ambition and talent of our pupils, supported by our exceptional staff, parents, governors and wider school community.
Headmaster, Mr Browning, said: “We are immensely proud to receive these prestigious awards. These achievements are a testament to the dedication of our pupils and staff, and to our commitment to helping every young person achieve their personal best, develop confidence and character, and leave us prepared to make a positive contribution to society.”
From excellent academic outcomes and personalised pastoral care to our broad co-curricular programme and thriving boarding provision, this recognition reflects the strength of Ipswich High School life.
A proud moment for our whole IHS school community.
