I've been in politics for a quarter century. It's hard to express how staggering it is to see a conversation like this on corporate US media. The Morning Joe panel gobsmacked by the directness of @AbdulElSayed's points. (clip via @DropSiteNews)

#Lanz

Pure genius. It’s almost as if we needed to create an organization for security and cooperation in Europe… Except the existing one has failed to prevent Russia from violating every single one of its principles.
NEW!!! Kushner says the Trump admin is pursuing a new European security framework built around sovereignty and territorial integrity, with no country holding a veto over another’s security alliances. The push comes ahead of next week’s U.S.-brokered trilateral peace talks with Ukraine and Russia in Abu Dhabi.

Are there any Christian Democrat politicians in Germany (and Europe) who would dare to say this in an electoral campaign? @BachmannRudi @Puettmann_Bonn
It's not hard to see why James Talarico pulled off a landslide as a Democrat in Texas. Just look at his campaign materials. S-tier operation.

we do not talk enough about this evil massacre. 40 murdered, 30 are still missing — after russians drop nine mega bombs on a school in my home region. rescuers are struggling even to piece together body parts. russians pulverized the entire humanitarian aid hub and nearby shelter, together with civilians hiding inside. not a nation, not a country, russia is a death cult.
Russia dropped at least nine bombs on a school serving as a civilian shelter and humanitarian aid distribution center. Built just last year with EU funding, the facility had a reinforced basement designed to withstand attacks. But the double-tap attack, involving bombs carrying 1.5 tons of explosives, caused the structure to collapse and left a massive crater. The victims included civilians who had gathered simply to receive humanitarian aid, as well as police officers and emergency rescue workers. Horrific.

Amidst all the understandable joy over the change of power in Serbia, journalism must maintain a cool-headed perspective, including on the Serbian student movement and its spectacular success. For Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, I had a closer look at the foreign policy program of the Serbian student movement. It is a disaster. A summary in 8⃣ points.

With great sadness, we received information about the passing of an Auschwitz Survivor Hermann Höllenreiner, who died three days before his 93rd birthday. Hermann Höllenreiner was a German Sinto. He was born in Hagen on 19 October 1933, and he grew up in Munich. In March 1943, aged nine, he was deported with his family to the German Nazi camp Auschwitz, where he was registered under prisoner number Z-3526 and imprisoned in the section designated by the SS for Sinti and Roma families. Höllenreiner endured hunger, forced labour and daily terror. He later recalled being made to carry jars containing the organs of murdered children for SS physician Josef Mengele, while members of his family were subjected to medical abuse. He was transferred out of Auschwitz before the murder of the remaining prisoners in the Sinti and Roma family camp in August 1944. He subsequently endured imprisonment in Ravensbrück and Sachsenhausen before escaping from a death march near the end of the war. Exhausted and severely traumatised, he was taken to France by liberated French prisoners and eventually placed with a foster family in Paris. His separation from his family continued long after the war ended: only in December 1946 was he reunited in Munich with his parents and sister, who had also survived. In later life, Höllenreiner shared his experiences through talks, interviews and commemorative events, bearing witness to Nazi persecution and speaking out against the continuing discrimination faced by Sinti and Roma. His life inspired Anja Tuckermann’s documentary novel "Mano: The Boy Who Didn’t Know Where He Was." In 2013, he received Germany’s Federal Cross of Merit for his work as a witness and educator. An American citizen shared footage showing Israeli settlers vandalizing his land in the village of Turmus Ayya. When Israeli soldiers arrived, they attacked him and others instead of arresting the settlers. This is state-backed terror.

BREAKING: Volodymyr Zelenskyy tells @piersmorgan he has been betrayed by Trump, that Elon Musk and the US deliberately cut off Starlink and people are being killed as a result “This is not the right side of history,” he says. “It is a pity that we are losing a strong partner” On Musk and Starlink he says: “This decision will bring a lot of human losses. Of course, people will die” “I am sure they knew what they did, absolutely. Because it was 1am at night, Starlink was blocked by SpaceX and the United States” “It’s not just about attack. It’s also about defending life. So people were killed because, not enough destroying, not enough interceptors, including interceptors with Starlink, which didn't work. Of course.” Asked if he’s angry with Musk, Zelenskyy says: “Yes, I think he is not right. It's a big mistake.”

My criticism has nothing to do with Gaza. On the one occasion in her entire career where, instead of denouncing or judging a human rights violation, she was complicit in one, she did nothing to stop it. She literally handed names of dissidents to China. nitter.gq/EmmaReillyTweet/status…
Navi Pillay handed He Geng's name to China. He Geng is the wife of Gao Zhisheng. Gao smuggled a book out of detention in which he recounts being tortured specifically to make him tell his family not to do advocacy. Navi Pillay got the Nobel Peace Prize. Gao is missing.
