Trump suspended sweeping sanctions against Russia on October 16. Two weeks later, he declared: “Stupid people wanted me to put sanctions on Russia.” This is Putin’s greatest achievement. He has persuaded an American president to do things that would once have been unthinkable for any occupant of the White House. And that is precisely Putin’s tactic. He doesn’t merely want concessions. He wants Trump to make them publicly, to defend them enthusiastically, and to ridicule Americans. Every such performance sends a message to the world: look what I can make the President of the United States do. Putin is demonstrating dominance. And with every performance, Putin humiliates not just Trump, but the entire United States. The Republican Party has become the Russia First Party.

The whole "What would he do differently if he wasn't compromised" makes more and more sense every day.
Trump: “Some stupid people wanted me to impose sanctions on Russia.”

So if Trump’s theory of the electorate is right, this is how Husted should conduct all future interviews.

Your computer will be some kind of dumb terminal incapable of running anything more demanding than Notepad, and you'll need to connect to a data centre to get anything done under this glorious future envisaged by the tech bros.
BREAKING: OpenAI CEO Sam Altman says having RAM in personal computers is an inefficient use of the world’s limited DRAM supply, arguing it would be better allocated to data centers, per Tom’s Hardware

A father screams in anguish beside the body of his dead daughter. Two 15-year-old girls were killed in a russian attack on the center of Chernihiv, Ukraine. Dozens are injured, including four children aged 10, 16, and 17, and a 10-month-old baby girl. Meanwhile, Trump has ordered Ukriane not to hit russian oil refineries, so that russia could make billions and build more rockets and drones to kill more Ukrainians.

This show of drone force should scare the .... out of Seoul. North Korea is not only participating, but also closely studying Russia’s war against Ukraine and adapting faster than many other nations. To me, this picture captures it all... here's why: 1/3
Kim Jong Un called for 'absolute superiority' in drones at a North Korean UAV expo, describing it as essential for modern warfare. The expo featured an apparent new flying-wing drone, suicide drones and a live-fire 600mm rocket launcher test. nknews.org/2026/10/kim-jong-…

The Russian government's cash crunch now finally extends to the military, as Russia's Ministry of Defense has announced that all officers not currently serving at the front will be skipping their December salary. No reason has been given. This waa uncovered this morning by Russian media outlet Verstka.
Verstka has found out that the Russian Ministry of Defense is postponing the payments of salaries and other supplements for December to its staff that are not taking part in the war to January 2027. This is the first time such a postponement happens in the last 18 years.

🧵While 613 Ukrainian drones turned Moscow's sky into a timetable, Putin was caught on tape gushing over Elon Musk: "Musk is a genius... we take our first steps." Moscow claimed 1,214 shoot-downs. They count the goalkeeper's saves, but never the goals. 1/🧵

🇪🇺 Kaja Kallas: The Foreign minister of the Soviet Union said that the tactics of Russia are actually threefold. First, you present demands and ask for something that has never been yours. Second, you present ultimatums and threats. And third, you just wait, because there will always be people in the West who will offer you something you didn't have before. So you just have to wait them out, because the Westerners will always fold. Let's not give him this.

How are we even a country if we tolerate price gouging by a privately-owned military contractor in the middle of a damn war? Space X is bullying the U.S. military and making national security decisions outside its role. Nationalize, like yesterday.
“This spring, the U.S. military faced a similar dilemma in the Middle East. According to a Reuters report that cited Pentagon documents, U.S. forces used Starshield to pilot their drones for strikes against Iran. When SpaceX found out, it raised the price for Starshield service in that region from roughly $5,000 per terminal per month to $25,000. The Pentagon agreed to pay. In Ukraine, Musk could be attempting a similar upsell.” theatlantic.com/national-sec…

All I'm saying is that if you had a tribe of say 100 people and 5 of those people hoarded 95% of all the resources while half the tribe starved the rest of the tribe would eventually nationalize SpaceX

Illegality and also a PR nightmare for any American company to accept this diesel, given that the money will be spent on killing Ukrainian kids with missile and drone strikes.
The warnings from @SenBlumenthal & @RepRaskin may discourage potential buyers of Russian diesel, importation of which seems prohibited by law. That’s a big risk the Trump administration is asking companies to take, w/o making a case for why the legal prohibition does not apply. @ACGeoEcon
