Genuine platonic love feels so magical. It’s spending hours together and departing feeling like you miss them already and the time spent felt like a drop in the ocean. I don’t understand how people can understate how pure and fulfilling platonic love can be.

These comments were a gift to me personally. As a daughter of a similar father I appreciate how so many see this. Correctly.
His wife invited his estranged daughter to come and see them. Not a word came back, and after 20 years he has stopped waiting.
Anthony Hopkins, on The Interview from The New York Times.
"I wish her well, but I'm not going to waste blood over that."
"If you want to waste your life in resentment 50 years later, 58 years later, fine, go ahead."
"Life is painful. Sometimes people get hurt, sometimes we get hurt, but you can't live like that."
"If you can't get over it, fine."
Some people will hear coldness. He still won't say a word that might hurt her, and the door stayed open for two decades. Is moving on the healthy choice here, or is it giving up?

I’m always amazed by how casually gay men dehumanize hijabis while pretending to be progressive—they’re slaughtering palestinians in the name of western values and trying to deport the only hijabi congresswoman and you decided to make them the face of your jokes and condemnation

I have to be 29 years old and let you know it WAS… she was top 5 alt tumblr girl and I always have to let them know. I was there! This was all over the dashboard and that’s where the girls were getting their careers off to the races (iykyk). This is pre-TikTok/X era hunny

He really said: "You blame Meghan for everything but y'all killed your own Princess ( Princess Diana) and made a side chick Queen." The way the entire panel went dead silent is insane!🫳🎤
He cooked, ate, digested, and left NO CRUMBS!😂

Isn’t this the performance where Whitney sang Mariah’s part and then Mariah went ahead and adjusted to singing Whitney’s?

I don't even like anything in there personally but they get coins from me for being the only big UK beauty brand to stand openly for Palestine. So if you get/got a Lush gift....this is why.

I get why they didn’t, but honestly the BBC should’ve scrapped the season right here, made a donation to charity and just cut their losses here.
This is just damaging to your IP going forward.

Does anybody realize how grotesque this is or on how many levels? Mind boggling.

SIR PATRICK STEWART (1940-2026)
Before everything else, Patrick was defined by being born and bred in Yorkshire, the proud county in the north of England which he loved to the end. You could hear it in his accented voice and in the stern honesty with which he told you what he thought and felt. Yorkshiremen have no truck with half-truths or avoidance of big issues. He wore his heart on his sleeve, which made him a man to rely on, to admire and in my case, love.
We first met as ambitious young actors with the Royal Shakespeare Company half a century ago but we weren’t in the same productions. My first strong memory was a few years later, meeting him in the street in central London when he told me about an offer to take over a leading part in 'Star Trek'. “But Patrick think of your stage career in the UK. Do you really want to risk—getting lost in Hollywood for years and years?”. Well, he took the risk and thank goodness for us all that he did for not just his devoted Trekkies but film and theatre audiences, who marvelled at his using international celebrity to star in a string of cinema successes ('X-Men' of course) and in great classical plays by Shakespeare, Ibsen, Arthur Miller, Peter Shaffer, Pinter and Beckett at Stratford-upon-Avon, in London’s West End and on Broadway.
America was his adopted home, where he met his adored Sunny who has cared for him through sickness and health, through thick and thin. But he never forsook his origins: and the proudest achievement of the most respected and beloved actor of his generation on either side of the Atlantic, was his appointment as Chancellor of Huddersfield University in Yorkshire.
His farewell performance in 'Avengers: Doomsday' is yet to be seen.

Tuve que buscarlo porque no lo creía, pero resulta que Patrick Stewart fue el CREADOR de una técnica teatral con la que buscaba expandir las oportunidades para actores de minorías.
Un pionero.
Un visionario.
