The Triumph Bike showroom at ECR Kottivakkam is using the interior roads to test motorcycles at high speeds, applying sudden brakes and performing numerous stunts. I have cautioned several staff members not to treat our roads as a testing area, since many senior citizens and schoolchildren walk there. They appear to ignore these warnings, and today a rider from the showroom travelling at high speed collided with another bike carrying a couple. Fortunately, no serious incident occurred beyond minor scratches to the bike. This serves as a warning to stop them from using our roads. I request the traffic police to assist us by taking action against dangerous driving in the neighbourhood. Thank you. This incident occurred at the intersection of Sriram Avenue 2nd and 1st streets in Kottivakkam. @ChennaiTraffic @chennaipolice_ @CMOTamilnadu

Cyclone Arnab could be a disaster in coastal Andhra Pradesh, India, coming ashore at major hurricane-equivalent strength. The system rapidly intensified into a Category 4-equivalent monster, and weakening has been delayed. It's a small, tightly-wound monster packing extreme power into a small area. That's why it ramped up so quickly. The eye is 12 miles in diameter, symmetric, and surrounded by an extreme buzzsaw of 130 mph wind gusts. That's the eyewall. Radar from Visakhapatnam suggests a well-structured eyewall and no signs of any eyewall replacement cycles in the near future. Category 2 or 3 impacts are likely the coastline near the mouth of the Godavari River. That means winds gusting 100 to 125 mph (160 to 200 km/h) at the immediate coast. A 1-2 meter storm surge is possible as far north as Kakinada, with 2 to 2.5 meters from the Upputeru River to Kottapalem. The eyewall appears to be aiming at Narasapur. Devastation of vulnerable infrastructure is likely.

God in Heaven, this looks so alarming. Clear Eye visible. Fear IMD might be underestimating this system. Looks like a Cat 3 Cyclone. Not much coverage in Media either. Not every year we get to see such powerful cyclone with eye so well defined. #CycloneArnabUpdate

What’s happening near India right now is slipping under a lot of headlines. Cyclone Arnab appears to have just explosively intensified into a violent, compact, Category 4 drillbit. He is moving straight towards the dense populations of Andhra Pradesh, and could be nearing CAT 5 (AKA Super Cyclonic Storm) intensity as we speak. He’s less than 18 hours away from making landfall. Now, a combination of upwelling, shear, land interaction, and the onset of an EWRC should definitely weaken Arnab before he hits land. But this is still becoming a VERY dangerous situation, and that’s not even counting the inland flood threat from torrential rainfall.

Am I the only one who thinks Bacha Coffee is more of an overhyped, commercial, expensive af place selling mediocre coffee than a specialty coffee store?

This is a @MotwaniSuhas appreciation tweet. Some people are somehow always present to help, don't ask for anything in return, and find joy in seeing others succeed. Rare traits to have. There are countless here how have benefitted from his largesse. May his kind grow. ❤️

The worst investment I did is buying a property of Godrej- big brand bigger, bigger fraud. Bought a property in 2023, they told we will get possession in 2026 mid, forget the possession, they are telling they want to add additional floors and that too 8-9 floors, without adding any extra plot to the project. From past 3 months the CRMs has bullied, disturbed, bribed and what not for us to sign the consent form to modify the RERA, as a person who works a full time job, this kind of harassment takes a toll on mental health, as now I am paying full EMI and possession not sure when they are going to give(maybe 2028(Rera date)), the constructions they have left in mid. For Phase1 owners also they are pushing the handover deadline. This is so disappointing! and now I am stuck, so whenever you decide to buy a property in Godrej, think 100 times before.

🚨SHOCKING - FIR against Malabar: A man walked into a Malabar Gold showroom in Bilaspur with a simple request: exchange his old 22-carat HUID-hallmarked bracelet. The staff ran it through their XRF machine. Once. Twice. Three times. Every reading came back the same: 20 carat. They even told him the hallmark didn’t exist. He called the local jeweller who had sold him the bracelet. The jeweller walked in, confirmed the HUID, and asked them to test it again. Same machine. Same bracelet. Same room. This time an employee adjusted something on the machine. Suddenly the reading flipped to 916 - pure 22 carat. The jeweller recorded everything. The Sarafa Association arrived. Police registered an FIR against the showroom manager and the machine operator. The machine and DVR were seized. This wasn’t a small local shop. This was Malabar Gold “the chain that advertises trust, purity, and BIS standards across India”. One bracelet. Two readings. An 8% gap in gold value. And the only thing that changed was who was watching. If a hallmarked piece can magically lose two carats the moment a customer wants to exchange it, and magically regain them the moment someone pushes back, what exactly is the machine testing? Customers don’t walk into Malabar expecting a calibration error that only appears when they’re selling gold. They walk in expecting the purity printed on their receipt. The FIR is real. The readings are on record. The machine was seized. Malabar still hasn’t explained why the same piece of gold needed a “setting” before it became 22 carat again. Until they do, this isn’t a machine glitch. It’s a business model.
