My Boomer parents never went to see any of the Prequels in the theater. I'm not sure they've ever watched them in the years since. The Prequels were mostly hated by Gen X and elder Millennials like me because we were old enough to have more sophisticated film literacy and couldn't be fooled into seeing past the glaring story problems with the Prequels. I don't hate Anakin for any kind of ideological reasons. I hate Prequel Anakin because he was written poorly.
- The *new* Star Wars trilogy comes out in 1999-2005
- Boomers hate Anakin (probably because he is Vader)
- Younger generations still love him
- Hayden gets real recognition and love closer to 2020, to the extent where he cries on stage. (Probably because the people who actually like him and Anakin as a character didn't have a voice for the longest time)
- Anakin popularity increases through memes and appearances in newer Star Wars shows/movies
- Right-wingers adopt Anakin to push their agenda
- Suddenly everyone hates Anakin again, to the extent where they start making BS arguments as to why Luke is "better".
Anakin is and will always be The Chosen One in the SW universe.

This morning’s cyberattack against supermarket fridges and freezers has now spread to Belgium, Sweden, Luxembourg and Estonia.
The hackers increased the temperature up to 50C. Food worth millions of euros has been spoiled.
Experts warn that such cyberattacks on supply chains and logistics can constitute a threat to national food security in many Western states.
