Why they NEED it to be a genocide in Gaza.
A must watch by Middle East analyst @havivrettiggur of @TimesofIsrael

there's no humanity in this movement. it is circling the drain, and if it's pulling you in, extricate yourself. there's actual peace work to be done.

I am genuinely feeling enraged imagining the old people, babies, sick people and kids in drenched, cold tents in Gaza for the fourth year because the world hates Jews so much that they must use this suffering as a political chip instead of doing the obvious right thing.
it really worked. people will insist it must be so because they heard it enough times from enough people.
is this a terrible headline or what? the headline made me think one thing, but the article itself is the opposite of what I thought. yahoo.com/news/world/article…

How Wikipedia Rewrote Zionism
Since October 2023, four-fifths of the encyclopedia’s article on Zionism has been replaced. And work of editors who have been banned from the page remains.

George Orwell, in April 1945, was discussing how otherwise intelligent, seemingly reasonable people could accept demonstrably false accusations about Jews.
He described people who insisted that their hostility toward Jews was based on objective observations rather than prejudice.
He then wrote:
“Yet one of the marks of antisemitism is an ability to believe stories that could not possibly be true.”
Orwell followed this with an example involving a deadly crowd crush at a London Underground station in 1942 and the false stories circulated about Jewish responsibility.

Haviv Rettig Gur, whatever you think of him and his views, hosted me twice on his podcast to speak about Palestinian perspective and views, no matter how divergent and different mine are. He did not condition his hosting upon me appearing next to other Palestinians who disagree with me or agreed with him, or even other Israelis; he did not set this up as a debate, but as a conversation and a discussion that was elastic and allowed for mutual learning and engagement, not "gotchu" moments, even though we strongly disagreed on a variety of subjects.
On the other hand, Mr. Mehdi Hasan would not entertain talking to me after he blocked me for two years on social media unless I debated another Palestinian who disagreed with me on his platform, "Zeteo News," with him as the moderator of said debate. He was not interested in a one-on-one conversation with me as he has done with several other guests of his. You make of that what you will but it is absolutely the case that Zionists can often be exponentially easier to engage and speak with than anti-Zionists and the oracles of the “pro-Palestine” industrial complex, particularly when it comes to embracing new and diverse Palestinian perspectives outside of the militantly-enforced orthodoxies, for the anti-Israel crowd is almost always interested in making a point, never actually making a difference.
Mehdi once wrote a book about how to win an argument even when you know you’re wrong. The trick is to be manipulative and dishonest.
Mehdi has never to my knowledge talked seriously about the Israeli historical experience as he demands of me for Palestinians.
And Mehdi is accusing me of ignoring Palestinians in an interview that, though it was meant to be focused on the Israeli experience, talked a lot about Palestinians.
I’m starting to think Mehdi isn’t an entirely trustworthy guy.

The reason so many anti-Israel protesters are wearing masks is because there’s an outbreak of COVID-1939.

50 Cent just explained the difference between the streets and Hollywood in one sentence:
On the street, they at least point the gun at you. You see it coming. You feel the fear.
In Hollywood, they rob you in a nice suit, in legal language, and hide behind the law. You only find out afterward.
Now zoom out. It’s the same playbook everywhere: fees buried in fine print, terms of service nobody reads, inflation quietly shrinking your savings, food engineered to keep you buying while it makes you sick, apps built to harvest your attention and your kids’ attention. No gun, no fear, no moment where you realize you’re being robbed. Just a slow transfer from you to them, all perfectly legal.
The most dangerous theft is the one that looks like a contract.
