Reminder that Russell Brand was openly embraced by the entire right wing pundit class even after the accusations came out just by pretending to be a Christian
Russell Brand’s trial is devastating. Testimony describes him as a rabid animal, demanding sex every few hours from whoever happened to be around, and taking it regardless of consent Brand’s defense is that women knew he was a degenerate maniac, so they should have expected it by being in a room with him (several allege he attacked them in public and tried to drag them into bathroom stalls) This is separate from FIVE disturbing allegations in Channel 4 Dispatches. Brand has zero regard for women as human beings - I can’t even imagine how many victims there truly are Blows my mind that so many people peddle his lunacy portraying him as a truth-telling martyr being smeared by the establishment - and buy his newfound religious hucksterism Makes sense he’s leapt into the movement of sexual offenders and pedophiles, where he belongs (other than prison)

Russell Brand has told the court that he couldn't persuade a single person to come and give evidence on his behalf.

The idea that someone who chooses to work in hospitality or as a cleaner or in a shop shouldn’t be able to have enough money to live is absolutely fucking insane. What is wrong with you all. 😳

Tommy Robinson has been convicted by a British jury under British law. I wonder how long before the people who constantly demand respect for British law decide this particular verdict doesn’t count.

I now have two sources close to Susie Wiles who claim that Trump is preparing a vast misinformation campaign for November 4th, built around conspiracy theories alleging widespread election fraud. The plan? Declare victory regardless of the results, accuse Democratic officials of manufacturing ballots overnight, claim voting machines were secretly manipulated, and demand that Republican candidates refuse to concede. In this scenario, the goal isn’t to prove fraud. It’s to convince millions of Americans that any election Republicans lose must have been stolen.

Farage failed to understand what really bought the Tories down, it was the sleaze. With his undeclared £5 million bung, £72 million from 2 billionaires with ties to Russia. The two separate investigations by 2 different journalists, showed he didn't care where the money came from.

F*cking crazy that everybody watched federal agents execute Alex Pretti 9 months ago and his family is still out here demanding justice and no one from the government has contacted them.

Alex Pretti, 37, ICU nurse. Loved hiking and the outdoors. Murdered by ICE in cold blood. Never forget.

Alex Pretti's father: Our son was shot and killed by the government, federal immigration agents, on January 24th, 2026. We learned about his death from the media as we saw him being shot repeatedly in the back after helping a woman from his community. This was not a protest that Alex was at. His hands were in the air, and his face was on the ground when he was executed by ICE agents. We know exactly what our eyes saw. No one from the federal government called us on that day. But they did go on TV to tell lies about Alex. No one has called us since. No one has recanted those lies.

She didn't monetize her sacrifice—she answered the call. The Senate hearing room went cold when the insult landed. Tammy Duckworth sat across from J.D. Vance, waiting for him to answer her question. She'd come prepared with policy, with specifics, with the kind of detailed inquiry that veterans' issues demand. But instead of engaging, Vance chose a different route. He compared her to Forrest Gump. Let that sink in for a moment. A sitting senator, facing a decorated combat veteran who'd left parts of herself on an Iraqi battlefield, thought a fictional character was the appropriate reference. Duckworth's response was surgical. She didn't raise her voice. She didn't need to. When you've piloted a Black Hawk helicopter through hostile fire, when you've felt the explosion that tears through metal and bone, when you've woken up in a hospital missing both legs and part of an arm, petty insults from small men barely register. November 12, 2004. That's the day her helicopter was hit by an RPG over Iraq. She was co-piloting, focused on her mission, when the world turned to fire and shrapnel. The rocket-propelled grenade destroyed her aircraft and nearly destroyed her. Most people would have let that be the end of their service story. Duckworth spent a year in recovery at Walter Reed. She learned to walk again on prosthetic legs. Then she went back to work. No book tour about resilience. No cable news circuit trading on sacrifice. She didn't monetize her Purple Heart or turn her injuries into a personal brand. She served in the Illinois National Guard, then ran for office to continue serving in a different capacity. Retired Lieutenant Colonel. Combat veteran. Purple Heart recipient. The first disabled woman elected to Congress, then to the Senate. The first senator to give birth while in office, bringing her newborn onto the Senate floor because the rules hadn't contemplated a working mother who'd also taken shrapnel for her country. When Vance tried his cheap shot, she treated it exactly like what it was: noise from someone who'd never answered a question he found uncomfortable. She'd faced real danger. She knew the difference between actual courage and performance art patriotism. That's who Tammy Duckworth is. Remember it.

I never heard Obama call anyone fat, talk about penises or asses, lie about an election he lost, or threaten to punch a protester. I never watched him turn the presidency into a spectacle of insults & bizarre behavior. God, I miss having a dignified president who made us proud.

Quite extraordinary that this bloke, @Jeremy_Hunt. is on our TV screens yet again. This time courtesy of @BBCPolitics ..... As Heaith Secretary he was one of the central characters responsible for our lack of preparedness for the Covid epidemic. An epidemic that resulted in tens of thousands of unecessary deaths. Then, as Chancellor, he purposely and very calculatedly pursued a 'scorched earth strategy' ensuring the worst possible fiscal situation for the incoming Labour Gov. This included the two NI giveaways which benefited the better off and cost the UK £18 billion. @BBCVickiYoung asks, "Jeremy, di you think the Govs plans are credible?" ........ REALLY??? #PoliticsLive @faisalislam
