In the 1992 Social Security Contributions and Benefits Act the state pension was termed a ‘contributory benefit’. In 2014 George Osborne was the fist Chancellor to show the pension cost as part of the overall welfare spend. It feels more recent to me.
Did I miss it or have Reform been silent on the latest help to buy scheme? Just asking the question…

If you’ve spent five minutes on social media lately, you’ve probably seen Reform UK voters unironically calling themselves the "People’s Army" or "The Real Resistance." It’s a beautiful narrative. Truly inspiring. There’s just one tiny, hilarious problem.
Proportional Representation is the o love you way to protect the UK s future, if Burnham enacts that he will leave a legacy neither main party have come close to.

As Suella attacks multiculturism, immigration, DEI, education and anything that moves remember
- her parents immigrated to Britain in the 1960s from Mauritius and Kenya respectively
- Her mother, of Hindu Tamil Mauritian descent
- Her father, of Goan Catholic ancestry
- lived in France for two years, as an Erasmus Programme student and then as an Entente Cordiale Scholar, where she studied for a master's degree in European and French law at Panthéon-Sorbonne University.
- founded the Africa Justice Foundation in 2010 alongside barristers Cherie Booth and Philip Riches
- Braverman was designated as a minister on leave while pregnant on 2 March 2021,[52] shortly after the Ministerial and other Maternity Allowances Act 2021 was enacted to allow this arrangement.
- In June 2023, while serving as Home Secretary, Braverman described the relocation of 21,000 people to the UK under the Afghan Relocation and Assistance Policy (ARAP), and the Afghan Citizens Resettlement Scheme (ACRS) as "a good track record".
- Husband - "very proud member of the Jewish community". Rael Braverman, moved to the UK as a teenager from South Africa, formerly lived in Israel.
- She took her oath of allegiance as an MP on the Buddhist Dhammapada.
- At the 2022 Asian Achievers Awards, Braverman was named as the first ever recipient the organisation's inaugural Queen Elizabeth II Woman Of The Year Award.
So she literally represents everything that she stands against........

This app is so shit now, clearly only supporting far right posts, jumps up and down when you are trying to read something if there are live feeds available that you don’t want to watch - as soon as the UK Gov bring in their dystopian rules I am gone from all social media.

Immigration is not the reason that you can’t get a hospital appointment, it’s the reason you can get one.
Please retweet for all the people who can’t seem to grasp that.

Excellent speech by Andy Burnham, love the No 10 function out of Manchester, local funding & decision making, but can he get Whitehall to move out of his way and at pace? He is not perfect, but he seems to be bringing Labour and its ethos back into power.
Freshly done in Exmouth, I will report it to the council but my heart sinks when I think that someone had to come prepped with paint to do this.
Did you watch Dirty Business? I can't believe how much water companies have gotten away with. They're putting profit before public health - it’s a scandal and the Government MUST take action! you.38degrees.org.uk/petitio… via @38degrees

Nigel Farage - the leader of Reform UK - is under investigation for failing to declare a £5 million 'gift'.
Please RT this until the BBC gives this story the same level of blanket coverage - as it would for the leader of any other UK political Party.
