On a very personal note, Tom was a good mate, we shared a lot of laughs (usually at my expense because I’d said or done something ridiculous); a lot of rugby stories and just a lot of chat. I am incredibly grateful that he was a part of my life; I will miss him beyond words.
Progressive Rugby is devastated by the death of Tom Morris. Tom’s hard work and dedication has built Progressive Rugby into what it is today; he was the glue that held us together. We will miss him desperately. For now, our thoughts and love are with his family and friends.

Absolutely this. I’d also love to know exactly how much has been and is being spent on external consultants and exactly what their remit is. Because if they’re spending money to justify decisions already made, the Board should stand down immediately.
Cost control, or lack of it. The symptom of a mgt team shaped by events, not shaping them and controlling them. Ultimately, when a business has costs out of control, like this, you don’t cut the core product you cut the periphery and noncore. It really shouldn’t be this hard.

This could get interesting if they try to cut a region … I hope the WRU has read the small print …

Oops, did we make a blunder telling Rassie about the Raeburn Shield? 😂🏉 Now he's all in with "beat us, take it!" South Africa's held it for 3 matches already. Guess what? Every international is now a must-win! Who’ll challenge the mighty Springboks next? 🇿🇦🔝 #RassieKnows

It’s not up to World Rugby, but up to the 6 Nations - and with a very tight schedule, Unions will not want the travel time etc. Do really like the idea of a France match in New Orleans! World Rugby wants US to host Six Nations match thetimes.com/article/1e0eeac…

England and France are the only two countries at this level whose top tier clubs are fully independent of the national governing body. England have no chance at World Cup if they keep overplaying stars thetimes.com/article/9ade32e…

My Open Letter To World Rugby. I’m a rugby content creator and a super fan. Like a lot of people in this space, I spend hours every week breaking down games , explaining the game, and talking to fans who already love rugby, and to people just finding it. World Rugby is missing a huge opportunity. There is a global network of rugby creators already doing growth work the official channels can’t do alone. We speak plainly. We stay in the conversation between tournaments. We attract new fans. We keep old fans connected. We are not media companies. We are super fans with audiences that trust us. World Rugby should create a Content Creator Partnership Programme, with a proper benchmark, not an open door for anyone with an opinion. What World Rugby would gain. 1. Reach outside the official bubble  2. New fans who need the game explained  3. Year-round noise between Tests  4. Local voices in local languages  5. Authentic storytelling official content rarely matches  6. Cheap, scalable promotion of RWC, Nations Championship, women’s rugby and sevens  7. Better education on laws, citing and the breakdown  8. A direct line to what fans actually think The benchmark should be simple. a. Consistent original content. Real engagement, not just follower count. b. A code of conduct. Respect for players, officials and the game. c. Tiers for emerging creators and established partners. Give qualifying creators briefings, useful resources, selected access and a point of contact. In return, World Rugby gets a global network of people already evangelizing the sport every week. I am not writing this because I want a free trip or a title. I am writing it because I can see the gap from the inside. The people who care enough to spend their nights editing rugby videos are already doing World Rugby’s growth job. The question is whether World Rugby wants to work with them or keep leaving that energy on the table. If World Rugby is serious about expanding the game, this is one of the most obvious, affordable, and human ways to do it. I would be happy to help design the framework, talk through qualification standards, or connect the organization with creators who are already doing this work for the love of the game. Rugby does not just need more content. It needs the right people telling the story. Let’s build that partnership. #worldrugby #rugbycreators

Guys. With the 3rd test looming lets get this discourse positive. If you are SA tell me your favourite All Black and if you are NZ your favourite bok. Lets inject some lekker positivity into the discourse. I will start 🧵 /2
