When a news organisation suggests Indian citizens don't have the right to the truth from its govt. About territorial integrity. From a govt thay boasts much on the front.

Watch this. It was a peaceful dharna against Siang Upper Multipurpose Project. Police said that to disperse the Pasighat Gen Z protesters “ mild force” was used. Is this your mild force? @PemaKhanduBJP @NatungMama @DgpPradesh explain this to the people.

Tajong Talom, one of the prominent faces of the Pasighat #GenZmovement against the Siang Upper Multipurpose Project (#SUMP), was reportedly detained by the #AssamPolice in Sivasagar, Assam, last night. Talom stated that he was intercepted while on his way to #Delhi to address a press conference regarding the ongoing mega-dam issue. A family member mentioned that he was subsequently handed over to the #ArunachalPradeshPolice, but they remain unaware of his exact current location.

While media attention is focused on Chinese intrusion in Taksing and Maza circles in Arunachal, locals have appealed for similar attention to the poor road and internet connectivity in the area. #Watch report for details

Otul Jerang is a young schoolteacher. Polite, soft-spoken, he speaks straight from his heart about his people and the Siang River. I first heard him speak during a rally in Pasighat against the Upper Siang Multipurpose Project—a project that will affect his own village. He is currently in police custody after the GenZ protest took a violent turn in Pasighat. Please do listen to him explain why he chose to surrender to the police.

EC orders a re-poll at 4 booths in Agra for MLC polls after 'booth capturing'. But the SP has also alleged that booth capturing took place in 14 places in 4 districts--Amroha, Agra, Fatehpur, Prapatgarh. In Amroha, 7 booths recorded voting % 92.02-96.3, inc fraudulent votes

It’s rare to find people like Ebo Mili in Arunachal Pradesh. Absolutely resolute and committed to ensuring that indigenous communities are heard, and that the Indian state cannot bully them, @Ebo_Mili_Linggi is one of a kind. While elected representatives have compromised their positions in the name of national security, Ebo has stood firmly with the state's indigenous people. As the state began militarising the Siang Valley without the people's consent, Ebo has been in Siang Valley. Ebo is currently in the custody of the Arunachal police along with Otul Jerang, following a Gen Z protest in Pasighat that turned violent after police used force to disperse the crowd on Friday evening. Please do listen to his reasons for surrendering to the police.

Arunachal Is Burning
The 11,200 MW Siang mega dam threatens to displace 1 lakh indigenous people & submerge 27 villages.
Once campaigning for smaller projects, BJP now pushes this destructive dam. In the name of national security, whose land, lives & identity must be sacrificed?

State will have to take responsibility for the violence that has escalated in Pasighat. You can’t expect people to keep quiet in the face of state oppression for years in the name of national security. Shah, Modi, and Khandu, this is a response to your provocation and your sponsored violence on people who are opposed to Siang Upper hydro project. NHPC office

A 24-hour sit-in #dharna staged here at #Pasighat against the proposed #SiangUpperMultipurposeProject (#SUMP) seamlessly transitioned into a massive 12-hour #bandh today, completely paralyzing the #SiangValley.
The initial sit-in protest, which began at 2:00 PM on Thursday in the town, concluded at 2:00 PM today. Immediately upon its completion, #GenZ and #localyouths took to the streets to enforce the 12-hour #bandh call. The youth demonstrators extended full support to the movement by completely blocking the vital Mebo–Pasighat–Mariyang Tri-Junction stretch.
The region-wide #shutdown across the #EastSiang, #Siang and #UpperSiang districts was spearheaded by a coalition of several anti-dam organizations. The front consists of the Adi Bane Kebang-United, the SUMP-Affected Youth Association, the Siang Indigenous Farmers Forum, and the Adi Galo Welfare Society.
