Stuck on a problem... take a walk.
This paper made me close my laptop and go for a walk. Stanford proved that the simple act of walking generates 60% more creative ideas than sitting. They ran four different experiments comparing people who were sitting inside, walking on a treadmill inside, walking outside, and being rolled outside in a wheelchair. the outcome? walking drastically increases "divergent thinking" (your ability to generate novel, high-quality ideas). and here is the craziest part.. it has absolutely nothing to do with "getting fresh air" or seeing nature. the researchers proved that the physical, mechanical act of walking, even staring at a blank wall on an indoor treadmill, is what actually hacks your brain and opens up the free flow of ideas. when they rolled people outside in wheelchairs to test if the environment was the trigger.. the creativity boost didn't happen. it is the physical movement that unlocks the brain. and it gets better.. you don't even need to be walking while you work. the study found that participants experienced a massive "residual creative boost" even after they sat back down at their desks. your brain essentially stays in god mode after the walk is over.. if you are stuck on a problem or an idea right now.. stop staring at your screen. your lack of ideas isn't a thinking problem. it is a movement problem. science says walking literally upgrades your hardware..

Why Socialism fails. Superb illustration!

A friend recently asked me which digital payments app I was using. When I told her, she promptly asked, “Why not use BHIM, our very own Indian app?” I admitted I didn’t know much about it. “Well, let me introduce you to someone you’ll enjoy meeting.” That someone was Dilip Asbe, MD & CEO of the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI). Dilip kindly agreed to come over for a chat. That conversation was illuminating, to put it mildly. We all know the payment apps we use every day. PhonePe, Google Pay, Paytm, BHIM… But think of them as trains running on a railway network. NPCI provides the tracks. And what an extraordinary railway India has built! In September, UPI alone processed over 2,400 crore transactions. That’s more than 80 crore transactions every single day! India is now the world’s largest real-time payments market. A true global force multiplier. And Dilip has been one of the key people behind that remarkable achievement. His mind is buzzing with plans to build more ‘railroads’ that will enable new apps in wider financial spheres. But here’s what struck me most about him. Not the scale of his achievement. Not his knowledge of the technology. His humility. Dilip is well known in financial & technology circles. But I met a man with no airs, no sense of self-importance & seemingly little interest in the spotlight. Just immense pride in what his team has accomplished & a genuine sense of privilege at being able to serve his country. I also learned that his mother was a teacher. Perhaps I’m biased, but I’ve always believed that mothers who are teachers have a special knack for instilling values that last a lifetime. And I couldn’t help wondering if that explained something about Dilip’s grounded personality. People like him derive their satisfaction not from being seen, but from seeing their work make a difference. Thank you, Dilip, for the conversation. And for reminding me that ambition & humility can indeed travel together on the railroad to success. And I’ve switched to the BHIM app now! #MondayMotivation

- 23 birds x 2.5 circuits (on an average )x6 pax each. That is around 300 Yatris inducted into the valley today. It also means around 1500 Yatris in rotation from one dham to next. - Add to this 8 Kedar shuttle helicopters which fly almost 72 total hours daily. ( among 8 of them) Each hour average 25 Yatris up and 25 Yatri down. That is 3600 total (up and down)per day by all shuttle helicopters. - For all this to happen safely and smoothly we need pilots , engineers , technicians, ground handlers , commercial crew, drivers, hotel staff etc etc. All working tirelessly from 0400 to 1800 each day for almost 45 days at a stretch. - I am reasonably convinced that no where in the world will we see such kind of concentrated operations in an area of 90 nms x 40 nms. - The Indian Helicopter industry surely deserves much more attention than it possibly gets. - There has been a marked improvement in recent years but there is a lot of work pending. I am not only hopeful but confident that the industry will have rapid growth in coming years. Jai Shree Kedar Jai Badri Vishal @MoCA_GoI @RamMNK @DGCAIndia @PMOIndia

- I said it in past , I say it today “ Agniveer is a good thing “ - Baki there shall be perceptions and opinions and arguments and debates , all is fine. - To reach any conclusion we probably have to wait for few more years. - Like I said in past , @IAF_MCC shall make best use of the allotted and trained manpower. 4 saal mein waise bhi koi independently engine change nahi karta , so it’s fine. Analogy can be drawn for all our trade jobs. Baki charcha chalu rahe. Very proud of @Dev_Fadnavis
CM Devendra Fadnavis has announced that the state govt had received the first list of 282 Navy Agniveers from Maharashtra from the Naval HQ . Accordingly, all 282 Agniveers — 150 Seaman Deckside and 132 Seaman Engineside — have been appointed as police constables, and their appointment orders have been issued. Good show . Now as envisaged in mud 1980's study , this move should be institutionalized in a seamleess manner with affliation between Corps / Regimental Record offices and Central and State Govt departments / establishments .

Dear Academically Brilliant Veterans, - If you continue to discuss and decide all about Theatre etc etc, then what will the serving do. - Apka time chala gaya, apne jinko groom kiya , acche No diye woh leadership is sab mamle mein acche nirnay lene ke liye saksham hai. - Krupa kare aur apne bhavnao ko kabu mein rakhe. Argument, experience and gyaan ka combination bahut vichitra hota hai. Josh josh mei “War Plans” na discuss ho jaye on X. - Baki seniors ko kuch bhi suggest Karna shayad uchit nahi hota , isliye maafi ke saath is tweet ko apke “ perusal “ ke liye prastuth kar raha hu. VIDEO | Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis says, "Agniveers in our country undergo extensive training and serve under the Short Service Commission. After completing their tenure, those who return and wish to join the Maharashtra Police will be recruited into the force. The first batch from the Navy has joined us, and we have inducted all of them into our coastal security force. This will strengthen our coastal security, as they have undergone extensive training and have served along the borders and in difficult terrain. Their training is of a very high standard, which will benefit us as well. We have accommodated all the Agniveers who have joined us so far. In the future, those returning from the Army or the Air Force will also be given an opportunity to serve in the Maharashtra Police."
